Top 10 Reasons to Write On HubPages

It has taken me a while to answer this request made by ProCW around 3 months ago because when I first saw the request, I was positive that there would be a flood of answers, from the Hubpages Community.

The Request was simply Worded "Top Ten Reasons to Hub" and I thought that it would be a really easy topic to write a Hub on but there are so many reasons that people "Hub" that choosing a Top Ten proved to be a little more difficult than I thought.

For Those people who don't know about Hubpages, it is a Website where writers can publish articles and make a little extra money from advertising on their articles.

A Hub is what the writers on Hubpages call an article.

Alot of people who sign up to Hubpages do so to earn a little extra money, there are six ways to make money from Hubpages four of them are with advertising through Google Adsense, Ebay, Amazon and Kontera.

The other Two ways to make money are through the Hubpages Capstone Hubs Programme and through referring other writers to sign up to Hubpages.

Hubpages won't make you rich over night, but if you keep producing good articles after a few months you could begin to see a good monthly income for your work.

I personally make enough money from Hubpages to make the monthly repayments on my car loan.

Although most people Join Hubpages to make money, they find that after a couple of weeks that they don't really care about making money anymore and that if they do make money from their Hubs it is an added bonus, this is a strange phenomena that only occurs on Hubpages because of the fantastic community of Writers on the site.

The Hubpages Authors are a great bunch of people, they support each other, they have a laugh and a joke together, they share their experiences of success and failure on the site and they become good friends, giving you an instant readership and who will leave comments in your Published Hubs.

The Hubpages Forums is the place to be if you want to get to know the Hubpages Authors or even if you just need a little helpful information.

Team Hubpages are the people who do all the hard work that makes writing and publishing hubs so easy, like the Hubpages Authors, they are a fantastic bunch of people who are always around when you need them to offer valuable assistance and support, they also know how to have fun and can often be seen in the Forums stirring up some pot or another.

Although not guaranteed, Hubpages seem to have a great secret formula which pushes published hubs to the first page of the search engines such as Google or Yahoo, and alot of people sign up to Hubpages because of this, they are not interested in the money side of Hubpages but they use the site because they want alot of people to read their work.

Of course the Hubpages community makes up a good percentage of your readership if you are an active member of the community.

My own hubs according to Google analytics had 94,595 page views in the last 30 days.

The Reputation of Hubpages is almost flawless, Spam filters and duplicate content penalties ensure that the site remains reputable with the search engines which in turn keeps readers coming to read our work, the removal of Porn Hubs and Gambling Hubs also ensure that Hubpages remains a family oriented site and adheres to all of the Adsense regulations.

The Hubpages Authors also help filter out Adult hubs, Spam, and dubious content by flagging innapropriate content in Hubs.

I used to be an avid Book reader but since I discovered Hubpages I have hardly touched a hard back or even a paper back, hubpages has a great source of reading material written and published by many different people from all over the world, you can read about how different cultures live, recipies from all over the globe, there are short stories, poems, how to guides, there is Horror romance and there are some very funny people on Hubpages, infact you can read about almost any subject imaginable here, not only am I making a little money from Hubpages but I am saving money too by not buying books.

Call me big headed if you wish but there is a feature in Hubpages that gives your ego a massive boost on an almost daily basis. every time that someone joins my Hubpages fan club, I feel honoured and my sense of pride goes through the roof, where else in the world can an average John Doe grow a fan base and even recieve Fan Mail from people all over the world that he has never met.

Fans also ensure your Hubs get an instant readership because they recieve an email every time that you publish a Hub.

The simple truth of it all is that I love writing Hubs, even if I didn't earn a single cent from my Hubs I would still be here click clacking away on my Keyboard, when I found HubPages I found something out about myself that I didn't have a clue about before, I found out that I have a passion for writing and my new hobby was born, writing hubs has become a part of who I am and I will be here writing more and more Hubs until I am stiff in a box or until hubpages get tired of me.
