PART THREE

We have finally made it. Are you ready for the last installment in this series?

Again, remember that you should treat this business opportunity from home as a serious business. Business is business and definitely not a just hobby; it should be given priority if you want to earn money. But, here’s the catch, although business is business, network marketing is also about people. It is more than just business transactions, social events, business cards and making a good impression.

Network marketing oftentimes requires you to venture outside your comfort zone. The key to success is meeting new people. It’s impossible to meet new people if you choose to sit and talk to friends or worse yet, sit in solitude. You can’t be a coy wallflower and expect people to come up to you. Maybe you are not a people person and you have poor social skills but if you want to meet new people and possibly make a deal, then you have to be confident and assertive without being aggressive.

It is so difficult for most people to explore the bend in the road. They would rather stay in their spot rather than walk those steps into the unknown…so don’t be shy, strike up a conversation with someone, meet new people – this is the whole idea of such a networking event and it’s the whole idea of network marketing!

But by now, you know that in order to create success you must step out of your comfort zone and figure out what you want and how to get it.

Explore network marketing resources on the internet, set up a meeting with a leader in the networking business and never stop learning. Networking is about taking some risks and going out of your comfort zone.

Some things to consider…You can choose a low cost business opportunity. You go out and start generating leads. And you can ensure you’re prepared.

When meeting someone or attending a social events, make sure you are dressed appropriately for the occasion and please, you have your business cards, and please, take the time to be prepared…have samples with you always!

Once you have established a relationship with someone from the event, you should follow up on that contact. Keep in touch. And add new names to your list and regularly call or email these people.

You see, if you are not prepared then you wouldn’t look professional. You may have a business card and you certainly wouldn’t want to write your name and contact details on a paper napkin. There’s a big possibility of it ending up in the garbage bin.

The bottom line…You wouldn’t’ want others to think you’re running your business as a hobby, would you? So if you are serious about this business then make it a business!

Avoid making these mistakes! Treat your business like a business. Meet new people, cultivate and develop your relationship with the people around you and those whom you just met. Take courage to venture out of your comfort zone and explore new horizons.
