Beauty in the Great Smoky Mountains

A talented Hubber in our community, > Army Infantry Mom <, asked the question, Where's the best places to move in Tennessee? I've just been looking at maps of Tennessee and remembering some awesome vacations taken there and the cordial, interesting people I met along the way. From that coincidence, AIM, I'm glad you asked that question. Tennessee is one of my favorite places.

Federal estimates of job growth from 2004 - 2014 are located at Top 10 Jobs in Tennessee; and adjustments to 10-year estimates are made every two years, Our 2006 - 2016 estimates are shown below as well. Meanwhile, official short-term employment projections tagged the following job titles for growth 2008 - 2009: Social Services, Network Systems, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Self-Enrichment Instructors (adult education and others), Graduate Assistants -teaching and research designations, and Chemistry Teachers. These short-tem projects seem not ot have been met and the largest numbers of openings occur in other careers, as seen below. Each market area around the state seems to have quite a few healthcare-related jobs available, along with some unique to the area.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Tennessee gained several benefits from the ARRA for 2009 - 2011 or 2012, including dollars to extend Unemployment Benefits, Summer Youth Jobs, job matching by state/county employment offices to help job seekers, support services for dislocated and older workers and job seekers, and several others.

Top 5 Tennessee Job Markets

Indeed.com is the job-search-and-gather leader, in my opinion, of job openeings aross the Internet during the last several years. They have developed into a database that lists occupational openings, gathers listings from other job search Internet boards, and pulls additional listings in from employer websites. A trending application ilustrates employment listing trends for a period of 4-5 years past.

Indeed.com presents the highest numbers of Tennessee job listings (about 47,000 on July 25, 2009) in the following Top Five Metro Areas. The approximate number of jobs open is listed beside the city name. Additional Top Cities For Jobs in Tennessee are listed and my own analysis of individual Metro Areas follows.
