I get a lot of questions from people just learning SEO and large percentage of these people are fumbling in the dark. I've thus created this list as a sort of resource that people can go to to learn or to make sure they're doing it right. These are the same exact tools that I use for SEO. I also want to mention that none of these tools charge for their use. All of these tools can be found by running a quick Google search by the name of the tool. Most of them require the usage of Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Of course, if you're looking to do anything related to marketing, SEO, or just generally surfing the Internet you already use Firefox! If you don't already have Firefox, you can download it for free at mozilla.com.

SEO tools are great to use to learn more about SEO. They are also great for SEO pros as they can be great time savers.

NoDoFollow

This is an extremely important tool. If you've ever heard of a do follow link or a no follow link, you'll understand the importance of this Firefox Plug-in. You may have heard someone say something like, "The site says that all the blogs in the directory are do follow, but the first three sites I clicked on are no follow." How do these people know this? There's a way to check in the blog code, but who wants to do that? NoDoFollow does all the work for you by making the No Follow links red and the Do Follow links blue. It's great for building back links. This tool is a Firefox plug-in and thus requires Firefox for its use.

SEO for Firefox

If you're building niche sites or doing SEO for more than just a few keywords, this tool will literally save you hours of redundant, boring work. You won't ever leave Google search results to visit sites to check their PR, how many back links the sites have, and such. Everything is listed right below each listing in the search engine. Just click the little question mark and up pops whatever piece of data you're looking for. This is a Firefox add-on so you have to use Firefox to benefit from this tool.

Google AdWords Keyword Tool

For those of you who are well versed in SEO, you already know about this. Some of you may be thinking, "Why is Melanie even putting this here? This is so basic!" Not everyone knows about the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. Really, it's crazy the number of people who randomly pick keywords without even doing keyword research. This SEO tool does not require Firefox for its use as it is a web-based tool and not a plug-in.

Website Marketing SEO Score Tool

This thing is a dream. It helps you diagnose SEO problems that your site is having. While it's not the end all and be all of SEO tools, this tool had definitely shown me what I've been doing wrong. The tool will show you what you're doing correctly and what you need to change. By running a website through this tool, users can learn about SEO by learning the different aspects a standards a website must meet to be considered "SEO friendly." The site also offers a little bit of help when it comes to keyword research for those who are using niche sites to make money. Firefox is not needed for the usage of this tool as it is web-based.

All-In-One SEO Pack

If you're a niche site person like me, you've probably got WordPress. This tool is amazing, it configures your WordPress blog for SEO and it does it well. Those installing it will have to do a little bit of work by inputting a little data into the settings for the tool regarding keywords, tags, etc. There are also a few default settings that I recommend changing. If anyone has any questions about the setup of All-In-One SEO Pack, feel free to let me know. This tool is for those using WordPress, so it doesn't depend on the usage of Firefox.

I was already using some of these tools but I hadn't come across the nofollow dofollow tool. Needless to say it has already been downloaded. Thanks for the share.

I have updated my SEO hub recently, have a look and see if it helps you out in anyway.
