it is the one with which most of the people addicted .its estimated that annual cost of about $166 billion is being spent on it. Binge drinking hits unemployed harder on per capita basis 10.4% vs 8.45% of employed persons. it is more prevelent in small metropoliton cities,rather in the big cities or rural areas. the 18$ billion is spent on the treatment for this addiction.

2.Smoking

Smoking has the estimated annual cost of about $157 billion .it includes $75 billion in direct medical expenses,with rest in lost productivity from ill patients missing work.even though the government expense so much money to prevent this its not stoped.the cigaratee manufacturer caution is not working,they need to spend more on this.so that it stops and make people to live good lives.

3.Drugs

Drugs estimated annual cost of $110 billion.As alcohol,illicit drug is more used amoung the unemployed.most addicts are also heavy drinkers,though only a small minority of alcohol are drug abusers.marijuana,cocaine and heroin as the drug of choice from the youth.the drugs addiction may leads to serious diesease like AIDS,cancer.

so we people try to eradicate this deadly addiction to make our live as happy as possible.

4.overeating

its estimated annual cost is about $107 billion.overeating increase the risk of heart attack,and many health related problems.obesity causes 14% of attacks in men and 20% in females.the doctors advise to have the regular exercise to prevent this problem.but,only fewer are following this.

5.Gambling

its estimated annual cost is about $40 billion.addicted gamblers often feel compelled to chase bad bets with more money in the hope that they will win.some one won in that gamble feels that it is the secured way to get enough money in the pockets.but, he does't know that it costs him much as goes further.he may loss every thing.finally,they are the greater risk to commit crimes like forgery and embezzlement.

Makes sense. I feel so terrible after gambling. Crazy how you can save money on things all month and then go to Vegas and blow money on a sports bet. Frustrating.
