Top Five Cloth Diaper Brands

Considering cloth diapers but know what brand to buy? Here are the top five cloth diaper brands on the market today.
Cloth diapering is becoming more popular as parents-to-be consider the environmental impacts of disposables. Not only are cloth diapers simple to use and easy to care for but they are a great economical choice - saving you hundreds or even thousand of dollars - depending on how many children you have.
There are some great cloth diaper brands out there but the best diaper is not necessarily the most expensive diaper. Here are what I consider to be the top five cloth diaper brands on the market today.
1. Motherease
These are incredibly economical and efficient diapers. They are super-absorbent, come in a variety of sizes, colors and materials and can be used over and over again without signs of wear and tear.
We used these diapers on my daughter from about three months of age until she was over a year old. We used both the Sandies and the All-in-One diapers on her every single day for over one year and they still look great! Of course she outgrew them and I was eager to try a new cloth type of diaper!
2. Kissaluvs
These are the main cloth diaper that we used on our little girl when she was newborn. We bought the newborn size and used them from the first day we brought her home from the hospital until about three months of age. These diapers are super cute . . . soft, pretty, adorable and absorbent on a newborn. The thing about newborns is that they are very very small so you will need a tiny diaper that won't envelop your little prince or princess. The Kissaluvis perfect for the newborn stage - especially with all the diaper changes you do in one day.
I bought about twelve of these diapers and used them every day for three months. They stood up pretty well but not as well as the motherease did over the course of a year. However, if we have another baby I will definitely stock up on these diapers in the newborn size.

3. Fuzzi Bunz
Fuzzi Bunz really surprised me - they are amazing and are my husband's favorite cloth diaper brand. They are a pocket diaper and you can insert as many cloth diaper inserts as you want for maximum absorbency. Once our daughter grew into these diapers they were used frequently and withstood heavy, heavy wetting. There was never a leak of any kind regardless of how long the diaper was left on (usually between one to four hours). They were washed and thrown in the drier every day and still look as good as new.
We started using Fuzzi Bunz from the time our daughter was four months old and continued to use them until she was about fifteen months old. When she finally outgrew these incredible diapers I wanted to try another brand :)
4. BumGenius
These are by far one of the most popular brands of diapers on the market. They are super absorbant one size pocket (or all-in-one) diapers that come in a variety of fun and cheerful colors. I have one diaper and I love, love, love to use it! They are easy to use and fit very well on my little girl - snug without leaking! BumGenius diapers are very popular due to their absorbency, convenience and one size (less diapers to buy as your little one grows).
5. Sugar Peas
Sugar Peas are a wonderful and incredibly absorbent diaper. My daughter is nineteen months old and we invested in a few of these diapers to see if they could stand up to heavy wetting without leaks! They did not disappoint.
The Sugar Pea diapers are made of hemp and have adjustable snaps to fit any size baby or toddler. The hemp has proven to be soft, absorbent and leak free. The other bonus is that these diapers are not as bulky. Because hemp is the material used and it has the ability to absorb more than other materials such as cotton, you do not require as many inserts and therefore the diaper is less bulky on the baby's bum which is quite nice.
I plan on buying several more of these diapers because they are soft, reliable, leak free and are much less bulky than other diapers I have used.
