Top Michael Jackson Songs and Music Videos
69Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson, also known as the King of Pop, has a number of popular and famous songs. He has pretty much been famous for all of his life, while he has been in the music industry since joining Jackson 5 in 1968 when he was 10 years old. Michael Jackson has had an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times, received 13 Grammy awards, has had 13 #1 singles as a solo artist, and has sold 750 million records all over the world. Clearly, he is an incredibly, famous entertainer and it is hard to judge his best songs, but these rankings are, in my perspective, his best ones.
I have had to remove the videos, but they can all be found on youtube.
#5 - Smooth Criminal
This song was on Jackson's Bad album released in 1987. It reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The genre is Funk and Dance-Pop. The song appeared in Jackson's short video called Moonwalker. Jackson sings to a kidnapped girl named Annie. The "Smooth Criminal" music video is famous for the anti-gravity lean which Jackson performed on stage using unique shoes that attach to pegs that rise from the stage. Jackson patented this invetion in the U.S. in 1993.
#4 - Beat It
"Beat It" was released on Jackson's Thriller album in 1982. It reached #1 on both Billboard Hot 100 chart and U.S. R&B Singles Chart. This song falls under the rock and R&B genres and is about staying out of trouble instead of trying to show how strong you are. Jackson said of "Beat It", "I wanted to write a song, the type of song that I would buy if I were to buy a rock song... That is how I approached it and I wanted the kids to really enjoy it—the school kids as well as the college kids." The music video shows Michael Jackson uniting two fighting gangs.
#3 - The Way You Make Me Feel
This song was releaed with Michael Jackson's album titled Bad in 1987, and also became a number one hit on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The music video shows Jackson chasing and trying to woo a woman while showing off his complex dancing skills. The genre is R&B and Funk.

#2 - Man in the Mirror
This song was released as a single in 1988. It was #1 on Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks. It is great song under the genre of soul, and it has powerful backup voices.. It is about changing yourself. The song says, " If you wanna make the world a better place, Take a look at yourself, And then make a change".
#1 - Thriller
This song was released on Michael Jackson's Thriller album in November of 1982. As a single, "Thriller" was released in the UK in November of 1983 and then in the US in January of 1984. On the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart it got to #4. This song is known all over the world and so is it's dance. The Thriller dance has become amazingly well-known across the globe as a result of the music video released with the song. In 2006, Guiness World Records named the Thriller music video as the "most successful music video". It is like a mini horror film, pretty entertaining. I could not get a video of the whole Thriller music video on here, but here is a link to youtube for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtyJbIOZjS8

Thanks! I think I fixed the videos...
Great job, I watched a show on his life last night. They said he was electric, and he almost looks plugged in as he dances. Too bad he has so many negatives in his life, but may we look for the good.
so true!
I absolutely adore Michael Jackson he was born with talent! he is irreplaceable and I truly wish whoever killed him goes straight to hell, sooner then later!!! I'am a soon to be pharmacy technician and what they did to him was an injustice; if that happened to Michael Jackson what can the rest of us expect seriously. Thank You Michael Jackson for your pure, energetic, good vibe music, I can't believe your gone!!!
jacobt2
I agree with Bev I watched him come up and become a Mega Star and just to see it all fade away seems unreal. And now all the mess with Doctors and Family where will the Children go it has been turned into a circus it is truly unreal, just have hope it will all work out for the best for everyone.
very...interesting...i...guess...no...one...can...replace
him..:(
I liked MJ's songs. Its sad about all the bad publicity surrounding him in the past. But, the guy sure had talent, didn't he? :)

Interesting, but I couldn't get the songs to play. You know me, though.... technologically challenged.
