Taj Mahal

Every foreigner who comes to visit India or any Indian who is on a travel spree his trip would be incomplete without the visit to the most elegant Taj Mahal. This is one of the must see places list of India, the eternal symbol of love and symbolic structure of the undying love of Shah jehan and mumtaz.

One of the eight wonders of world the Taj Mahal is situated in Agra in Uttar Pradesh state. The mausoleum is set against the plain across the river Yamuna, through their reflection, changes the view of the Taj. It is the embodiement of beauty and nature it is milky white in the evening and golden when the moon shines. You can rekindle your vows when the moon shines in on you together. Many couples who have visited this place vouch that this surely would be one of the most unforgettable memories. Other places to visit in Agra.

Manali

Manali is the most beautiful honeymoon destination situated in Himachal Pradesh state. It is very famous for its scenic beauty and evergreen landscapes. The best time for visiting this place is May to October as the climate is very cold during the other months making it difficult to commute. Rafting, Skiing, Paragliding are some of the adventurous activities that can be done here. If you want to mix romance with a spice of adventure then this is the ideal destination for a couple who wants to spend time together. Other places to visit in manali.

Araku valley

This list would be incomplete if i did not include a top destination from near my home town Hyderabad. Araku valley is a famous hill station in Andhra Pradesh situated at an altitude of 2992 feet above sea level. The most distinguishing part about this journey has to be the travel which is through train takes you through tunnels, hill sides and streams. My friends stayed in a cottage that hangs 10 feet above the ground level in the middle of green surroundings of Araku Valley.

Rajasthan

Rajasthan is one of the most historic destinations of India, it has so much history and huge palaces that make it a class apart from the rest. Not every human being has the same tastes if you want a more ethnic journey go to Bikaner.A romantic tourist destination located amidst Thar Desert in Rajasthan state. This historical city consists of religious shrines, beautiful forts and castles.

Kerala

Kerala has gained prominence in the tourism market only in the past few years. The potential of this wonderful city was left untapped for years. For me this is the top most romantic destination of heaven earth. Kerala is one of the most beautiful parts of india where the natural beauty will not only amaze you it will sweep you off your feet.

One personal tip make it a point to climb the Kettuvallam (houseboat) is made of wood without using a single nail. The boat has one or two double bed rooms with attached bath room with all modern amenities. It is the hub for all ayurvedic spas and oil therapies. Many tourists come here and rejuvenate their body in a natural way. A simple tour will offer you so much more on its platter with food to die for and temples, beaches and paddy fields. You will never feel like leaving this heavenly abode. Here is a list of top spas in kerala that may appeal you,

Great hub! I haven't been to all of your places, but been to several. I find Manali weird and strange beyond belief, though, to be honest! I'd rather be in romantic mood in Udaipur. I have greatly enjoyed other hill stations, such as Shimla and Darjeeling.

The Taj Mahal is wonderful, couldn't agree with you more. But to be honest, Agra itself isn't that great a city to my mind. My view might be coloured by the fact I got salmonella there!

London girl it gives me immense pleasure to have you drop by you have been one of the gr8 writers here. I am glad you liked india, India is very rich in heritage and culture the only drawback is i wish the tourism was preserved. The great places and tourists places are not maintained well like you said i love taj mahal a lot but the streets and city of agra is too cluttered and chaotic. Oh my god salmollena im sorry you had to face that dear. How long did you stay in india?
