Green tea is drunken everywhere and at any time of the day. Unlike English tea, Japanese green tea is served in cups without a handle and is never drunken with sugar or creme.

Why You should drink Green Tea
Green tea is loaded with catechin polyphenols, especially epigallocatecchin gallate, which is commonly referred to as EGCG. In addition to being a wonderful anti oxidant it also destroys malignant cancer cells leaving healthy tissue untouched.
Green tea is especially rich in EGCG. With fermentation, many of the polyphenols are oxidized. Green tea is a popular beverage in Asian cultures, where many people drink eight or more cups per day.
It has become increasingly popular in the West, owing in part to reports of its health benefits, such as preventing heart disease and cancer.
Green tea is made from unfermented leaves and reportedly contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols. Antioxidants are substances that scavenge free radicals -- damaging compounds in the body that alter cells, tamper with DNA (genetic material), and even cause cell death.

Research has come a long way in diagnosing and curing what ails you. Isn't it time we start focusing on being proactive not just reactive when it comes to our health?
Researchers believe this is because green tea is manufactured using a process where the tea-producing plant's leaves are steamed instead of being fermented like the other varieties. This steaming process leaves the EGCG compounds undamaged.
Green Tea and Pregnancy!!
Green tea is not recommended for use during pregnancy . Consult your doctor before using this product. Green tea contains a large amount of caffeine, which may cause anemia and other problems in children. Do not give any herbal/health supplement to a child without first talking to the child's doctor. Green Tea has been receiving much attention lately. As a result, we now have many medical reports and studies by accredited institutions concluding that Green Tea does contain many healthful and healing properties.
Green tea leaves are steamed, which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized. By contrast, black and oolong tea leaves are made from fermented leaves, which results in the EGCG being converted into other compounds that are not nearly as effective in preventing and fighting various diseases.
Green tea is great and now taste's great with pomegranite, so YES I highly recommend drinking it. I also love it with a teaspoon of honey.
Fukuoka Prefecture Green Tea
Green tea is one of the specialties of Fukuoka Prefecture. It is distributed throughout Japan under the brand name Yame-cha. Green Tea is basically a powerful antioxidant which has been praised on television shows like Oprah for the natural properties that it possesses.
But there are total rip-offs as well. Green tea, unlike black tea, is not subjected to high temperatures in the drying process. As a result, it contains much more abundant levels of a polyphenol called epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) than are found in black tea.
