He is a shape shifter and is immune to the effects of age.Apocalypse is one of the biggest threats in the universe. As he has demonstrated time and time again. With the strength and ability he has he is far to powerful for one hero to take on alone. It is always the combined efforts of many that is necessary to defeat him.

#5 Darkseid

Darkseid is as ruthless as they come.He rules with an iron fist, and gives his people only what is necessary to survive. Not that he cares if they die,but more so to keep the work force going.Darkseid is nearly invulnerable and has super strength. It is said that no one can survive his omega beams. What makes him even more dangerous is that he rules an entire planet. So as great as his powers are he also has a worlds army to aid him in his wars. He has stood toe to toe with powerful heroes such as Superman. His only true defeat was at the hands of Doomsday. Everyone else can just call it a draw.

#4 Doomsday

Doomsday was a genetic experiment in which he was cloned and killed thousands of times. The purpose of this was to create the ultimate survivor. But in doing so they also created the ultimate destroyer. He is responsible for millions of deaths across the universe. He kills without remorse ,or hesitation. He is as strong or stronger than Superman. And just like the man of steel he is nearly invulnerable. But his greatest power is not his strength. It is his ability to adapt. Doomsday can not be killed the same way twice. So with each death he is only made stronger!

He is very intelligent and always has a detailed battle strategy. He believes that war is a must for the survival of mutants. And has used his gift of persuasion to convince other mutants to join his cause.

#2 Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor has been Superman's greatest enemy over the years. He has no super powers, but is highly intelligent. He relies manly on his vast resources to wage his wars on the man of steel,And the rest of the world. He is very gifted when it comes to manipulating people. Money is not a motivation for Lex. #1 The Joker

How can you describe the Joker? One word, Madness!  The Joker is pretty much the biggest lunatic in comics.Which also makes him one of the most dangerous. He is completely unpredictable and unstable. He has many gadget type weapons and will not hesitate in pulling the trigger.Blowing some guys head off is funny to him. He has an ultimate hate for Batman, and it seems that causing him pain is the Jokers greatest enjoyment. I know there are stronger villains out there, But no villain is more popular or more recognised than the Joker!
