This decade is slowly coming to an end and so are the one-hit wonders of the 2000's. We have seen established bands create stellar music along with upcoming bands getting more and more popular as we speak. Unfortunately for most musicians, getting there music on the airwaves takes a lot of work and luck. Some are able to get one song on the radio before fading into obscurity. Now I bring you the top ten one-hit wonders of the 2000's in no particular order.

Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne

This catchy song debuted in August of 2003 and quickly claimed the title of "Most Downloaded Song" on iTunes. Stacy's Mom also reached #1 on MTV's TRL and VH1's Top 20 Countdown. The song describes a young boy's fascination with a girls [Stacy] mom. Today, Stacy's mom could best be described as a MILF or Cougar.

The Adventure by Angels and Airwaves

This inspiring tune debuted in May of 2006. Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 fronted the four-man band. Before the official release of the song, a fan hacked Tom's email account and stole five demos of the album, which later leaked to radio stations before the album release. The most notable interview from Angels and Airwaves came when Tom DeLonge announced that the album, We Dont Need To Whisper, was the best album of all-time. Although Angels and Airwaves are still around, their next album is not scheduled for release until 2010.

Wonderful by Everclear

This song was released in September of 2000. The song is about a parents divorce as perceived by a child. Which at this day and age is all too common as 50% of all marriages end in divorce. The band has numerous singles, but none as big as "Wonderful."  Everclear is still around today recording new albums and playing small venues.

Who Let The Dogs Out? by Baha Men

Whether or not you like this song, there is no doubt that it was extremely popular when it first came out in July of 2000. The song reached #40 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, #2 on the U.K. Singles Chart, and was the 4th biggest selling single of 2000 in the U.K. Rolling Stones conducted a poll to find out the top 20 most annoying songs and Who Let The Dogs Out? got third place. The song now remains in pop-culture by appearing in sports stadiums, television shows, and movies.

Butterfly by Crazy Town

This rap rock song peaked at #1 on the Billboard charts on March of 2001. The song appears on the soundtrack of several movies. Although Crazy Town's lead singer contributed to "Starry Eyed Surprise," the song is more attributed to Paul Oakenfold. Crazy Town is currently working on a new album, which was supposed to release in 2008, but is currently in the air as to when it will release.

Wherever You Will Go by The Calling

This alternative rock song was released in November of 2001 and peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band was active from 1999 to 2005 and produced two albums as well as a song for the Daredevil soundtrack. The most recognized song of The Calling's is most definitely Wherever You Will Go.

I Don't Want You Back by Eamon

This explicit song describes the singer's feelings after finding out his girlfriend was cheating. Despite the excessive profanity in the song, the catchy song climbed to #16 in the U.S. Singles Charts. The song had even more success in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and the Netherlands where it reached #1. Beyond the charts, the song made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most expletives in a #1 song. The songs popularity even spawned an answer single by Frankee called F U Right Back (F.U.R.B.) who claimed to be Eamon's ex-girlfriend.

1985 by Bowling for Soup

This reminiscent song which has a chorus that mainly lists off 80's rock bands speaks about a woman being preoccupied with 1985. The song was released in 2004 under the Hangover You Don't Deserve album. Bowling for Soup has delivered seven albums, but nothing compares to that one song on that one album.

Bad Day by Daniel Powter

This uplifting/depressing song climbed to #1 in every U.S. music chart category in 2005. Daniel Powter received numerous awards for "Bad Day" including Best International Breakthrough Act, Hot 100 Single of the Year, and Best Male Pop Vocal Perfomance. The song has recently been used in a NFL Football advertisement. Powter continues to make music and get a hold of the music charts, but nowhere close to where he was with "Bad Day."

Collide by Howie Day

One word describes this song....Prom. I can guarantee that "Collide" was a prom song for most high schools from 2004 to the present. This love-ballad peaked at #20 on the U.S. Hot 100 and #7 on the Adult Top 40. The song also did well in Canada and Australia reaching #7 and #9, respectively. The Bangor, Maine native is still active on the music scene with an album scheduled to release in August of 2009.
