I'd be rich if I had a dime for every time I heard something to the effect of, "I'm focusing on the things I want. I really am. I have a positive attitude. I really do. BUT, it's not working. Where's my stuff?". If I had a dime for every time I thought something like that myself, I'd be a millionaire! Obviously, the key word in the above complaint was BUT. Our language follows are thoughts without exception. The easiest way to figure out how we are squashing our own dreams is by listening to the words that are spilling right out of our own mouths.

I routinely catch myself about to say something. I probably wouldn't catch myself if I wasn't about to say it. However, it would still be running in the background just the same. The subconscious isn't particularly smart. It is like a two year old that can be taught fun new little tricks with very little effort if you are willing to give it some loving direction. Obviously one of the ways you can give it a little nudge to a more positive frame of mind, so to speak, is by reforming your language patterns.

Below is a list of the Top Ten Words to Eliminate from your vocabulary if you ever want your dreams to come true.

1. But

2. Don't

3. No

4. Never

5. Can't

6. Should

7. Try

8. Might

9. Want

10. Hope - Yes, I know. People really like the concept of Hope. However, the word itself is usually used to communicate something much less hopeful and much more desperate.

It might seem trifling. It's not. Learning to orient your language away from those words will force you to think in a pattern that's generally more up beat. In the beginning it might seem hard. Probably more challenging then you'd imagine. However, below is a list of my top ten vocabulary vibe shifters. These vocabulary alternative will make things much EASIER,(another great word).

1. Yes

2. And

3. More

4. Chose

5. Intent

6. Plan

7. Can

8. Will

9. Trust

10. Allow

When you employ these words on a regular basis you will see more of my all time favorite word. It's pure magic!

I absolutely loved this! The concept is so simple, yet true. I agree with you that it is hard to change language habits, but do believe that being aware of what needs to change is the first step! I am making a list of you top ten vocabulary vibe shifters and am going to post them where I will see them often. I'm adding to it my favorite 'good vibration' word, faith.
