Excuses everywhere

I've heard, and probably said, tons of crap things in my life, including silly and meaningless explanations of why someone would or would not do something.

There are three unacceptable excuses I never accepted nor used myself, because they are so... irritating and stupid ! If you know some more, please feel free to add them in comments.

Just My Job...

You've certainly faced-up with someone doing something silly, or behaving stupidly and simply telling you "I'm just doing my job...". How stupid is that ? If this person's job involved jumping from the 100th storey, would he / she do that ?

I'm may be naive, but I hope each human being on this planet has enough common sense not to do bad things just because someone told. What about responsibility ? What about conscience ?

Someone Else Would...

The second top silly excuse is the good old "If I don't do it, someone else will do it". So what ? You do something bad just because you know if you don't do it someone else would ? Oho, big brainer !

Do you really think the bad thing you do will really hurt less because it's you and not someone else ? And what about changing the world ? You know it's bad, so refuse ! This is the first step. Yes, may be someone else will do it, but may be not ! It always takes someone to initiate a change !

I Did Not Know

This is definitely the #1 of unacceptable excuses. "I did not know...". Like in

"I created anti-personal mines, but I did not know they would be used and then kill or hurt children...". Or "I let that poor man alone in the cold night, I did not know the frost would kill him".

This is so STUPID that I won't even comment on it.

A Touch Of Hope

I know this hub won't stop people using these excuses, but if at least one of you can think twice before doing it again, the world will be a bit better.

If you feel like adding some to the list, feel free !
