62There are so many different weight loss diet plan options to choose from that it can seem overwhelming. In fact, you might have already been on what you thought was the perfect weight loss diet plan only to quickly find out that, despite your best intentions, it didn't quite pan out as planned.
So what gives? How can it be that you put in all that effort yet cannot seem to see results?
Here are some of the top weight loss diet plan myths that you need to know about.
Eating Carbs and Fat Together Is 'Bad'
The first fat loss diet myth is that you should never eat carbs or fat together. This one like was spurred from all the low carb or low fat diets out there, proclaiming that you had to only eat one or the other - not both.
This is not the case.
As long as the total calorie balance stays in tact, you can enjoy both carbs and fats in your meal (as well as protein - this should always be included). It's just that by eliminating one, it makes it a great deal easier to actually stick with your diet.
Eating Before Bed Makes You GainWeight
The second weight loss diet plan myth is that you should never eat before bed.
Horribly incorrect.
Eating before bed is only going to cause you to gain weight if the calories you take in put you over your daily budget. If they don't - no problem.
So the simple solution is to just build this late-night snack right into your day. If you do so, you certainly can have something to eat before going to be without seeing it negatively iimpact your weight loss results.
You Need To Eat Every Few Hours
Finally, the last myth is that you must eat every X number of hours. This will vary from program to program, but usually it's every two or three waking hours.
The popular thought behind this is that doing so will help to boost your metabolism. This, however, is also incorrect. There are many things that you can do to boost your metabolism, but eating frequently isn't one of them.

Eating so frequently may help control hunger, but it has nothing to do with your overall metabolic burn.
