01.George Clooney

He's a man's man. He plays sports, gets the babes, sticks by his friends when it counts, and doesn't buy into the whole Hollywood ego thing. Did we mention that he's also rich, successful and as dapper as they come?Five years as Dr. Doug Ross on ER made George Clooney a household name and face virtually overnight. Lately, box-office hits such as The Perfect Storm and critically-acclaimed films such as O Brother, Where Art Thou? have helped George's star burn even brighter.

George Clooney set out to become a professional baseball player and came closer than most at making the big leagues. Good as he was, the Cincinnati Reds weren't ready to add him to their roster.

Luckily, it turns out that Mr. Clooney could run down a script much better than a fastball. He took his lumps in Hollywood, toiling away for almost 15 years before hitting the big-time with his breakthrough role has heartthrob Dr. Doug Ross on NBC's ER.

"Run for office? No. I've slept with too many women, I've done too many drugs, and I've been to too many parties." -George Clooney George Timothy Clooney was born May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, to parents Nick, a TV newscaster and talk-show host, and Nina, a former Miss Kentucky pageant runner-up.

George Clooney set out to become a professional baseball player and came closer than most at making the big leagues. Good as he was, the Cincinnati Reds weren't ready to add him to their roster.

He has a reputation as a hard-working actor who gives every role his best shot. His films generally make for good entertainment (the ladies sure love him, but more on this later) and he gives off a "one of the boys" feel that makes even guys warm up to him. He's the kind of guy you would invite over to watch football on Sunday afternoons.

We are not quite sure exactly why this is the case, but women generally seem to love the idea of a hunky, successful doctor. Throw in a little "rebel with a cause" into the mix and you get George Clooney's ER character, Doug Ross. The ladies fell in love with him and they still swoon for him as if he really were Dr. Ross.

George Clooney doesn't just appear to be one of the boys... he is one of the boys. George is the furthest thing from a Hollywood prima donna. A few years ago, while filming one of his movies, the producers had set up two separate cafeterias: one for the stars and "VIPs" and the other for the regular staff.

Here's a guy that would look good dressed in a garbage bag. It doesn't seem to matter what he wears because he always pulls it off with flying colors. Part of the reason he's known for being such a snazzy dresser is that he doesn't deviate too far from the norm, but at the same time he isn't afraid to add his own personal touch.

02. Lance Armstrong

Any guy that wants to educate the public about a disease that he was still battling at the time deserves our admiration. This man had cancer in his brain and lungs, but fought back to become No. 1 in his sport. He is gentlemanly and heroic; a very likeable combination.Lance Armstrong is famous for his courage. The professional cyclist fought off a life-threatening disease and graced the front page of many newspaper sports sections. He hasn't merely returned from an illness to win the Tour de France; he fought off cancer to become one of the best athletes ever.

Lance Armstrong must rate high in this category. His athletic prowess merits the recognition that he receives for his accomplishments. His founding of various charitable organizations and stature as a role model are well-documented. Armstrong is deeply embedded in North American culture and is the epitome of what the human spirit can overcome.

"I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles. But this is a hell of a race... You should believe in these athletes, and you should believe in these people. I'll be a fan of the Tour de France for as long as I live. And there are no secrets -- this is a hard sporting event and hard work wins it." -Lance Armstrong, to his detractors, after Lance Armstrong was born September 18, 1971, in Plano, Texas. He was predominantly raised by his mother Linda, who was married and divorced twice. Armstrong grew up in the suburbs of Dallas and took part in athletics at a young age.Lance Armstrong must rate high in this category. His athletic prowess merits the recognition that he receives for his accomplishments. His founding of various charitable organizations and stature as a role model are well-documented. Armstrong is deeply embedded in North American culture and is the epitome of what the human spirit can overcome.

Lance Armstrong has the heart of a lion. It is in his makeup to never give up and always give his best. His compassion and concern for others knows no bounds. He has used his very painful battle with cancer to promote his causes. People respect Armstrong and are drawn to him by the pictures he paints.

He is a very loving guy, something that is refreshing in the modern age of spoiled athletes. Since the late '90s, his talents have been showcased for the world to see. His fellow cyclists appreciate and fear him. It is hard for a competitor to harbor any ill feelings toward Lance Armstrong.

His personality is very goal-oriented. There are very few people in the world that are as self-driven as Lance Armstrong. And with seven consecutive Tour de France victories, it's safe to say that he is the most consistent cyclist in the world.

Armstrong is well-respected by fellow cyclists. He was the first to use a type of aerobic training that aids in his conditioning for races. While other racers cycle by standing up and pushing down (which burns up your reserve carbohydrates), Lance sits and pedals in lower gears, thus giving him more oxygen. Many of his fellow cyclists are taking a serious look at Lance's training methods.

Lance Armstrong is not a man of fashion. It is rare that you will ever see a photo of him without his bicycle shorts. But when he isn't racing, he tends to be a very laid-back person. Lance wears a lot of T-shirts and is mostly in casual mode.

He has the mentality of an athlete. As such, Armstrong doesn't care too much about his appearance. He always wears his hair extremely short and doesn't appear to have any stylist dressing him, unlike many people that work in the public eye.

03. Tom Ford

Our man of the week selections are based on the men's accomplishments in certain areas, such as business, sports, show business, and politics. We can't neglect the fashion industry, and if there's one man to be selected to represent his peers, it's Tom Ford. He has a remarkable business sense that would allow him to succeed in any field. “If I had been a dog walker, I would have been the most successful dog walker in Paris,” he says. You generally don’t expect good ol’ boys from Texas to be arbiters of style, but that’s precisely what Tom Ford has become. The Austin-born fashion designer singlehandedly turned Gucci into a $4 billion brand before he became the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. In 2006, the multitalented Ford worked hard on new designs for his own eponymous brand and toward the launch of his own store.

Tom Ford isn’t just a one-trick pony; in 2006, he seamlessly transitioned from fashion to journalism to become the guest editor and creative director for the Hollywood edition of Vanity Fair. The magazine, which featured Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson nude on the cover, drew criticism from many in the industry who took issue with the publication’s distinct lack of unclothed men. Tom handled the criticism in his usual calm, cool and collected way.

"You can only make the slit so much higher, the stiletto so much taller."

Tom Ford was born August 27, 1961, in Austin, Texas, but he spent most of his childhood years in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Tom's mother was an extravagantly dressed southern belle who taught Tom the importance of proper fashion, claiming that it was disrespectful to others to be badly dressed. When Tom was 12, she bought him his first of many pairs of Gucci shoes.Tom Ford isn’t just a one-trick pony; in 2006, he seamlessly transitioned from fashion to journalism to become the guest editor and creative director for the Hollywood edition of Vanity Fair. The magazine, which featured Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson nude on the cover, drew criticism from many in the industry who took issue with the publication’s distinct lack of unclothed men. Tom handled the criticism in his usual calm, cool and collected way.

TomFord is the first to admit that he’s a serious person. “Fun isn’t a word I think about so much,” he says. This is hardly surprising given the duties that he has had to juggle through the years. During his time with Gucci, he was personally responsible for designing the brand’s shoes, watches, luggage, and men's and women’s wear. Despite his achievements, Ford is remarkably down-to-earth when assessing his talent and says that "there are many more talented designers than me.”

Tom Ford is living the American dream. For the past 20 years, this jet-setting designer has made millions of dollars playing dress-up with the world’s hottest models. Along the way, he has also attended A-list parties, won numerous awards, and posed with the very nude Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley. As if that’s not cool enough, he also has three houses littered around the globe. “I think of LA as my American urban experience, London as my European urban experience and Santa Fe as my country escape,” he says.

Tom Ford is a study in black and white. Whether stepping out on Rodeo Drive or attending an after-party in Paris, this suave fashion icon can always be seen in a perfectly tailored monochrome outfit. Tasteful and understated, he’s clearly mastered the art of making a statement without saying a word. "I'm lucky, I have mass-market tastes," he says. "When I say I like a shoe, generally thousands of people will like it; thank god, because I would have been a very unhappy person if I hadn't had this kind of success."

Even with a receding hairline, he comes off with enough style and slickness to supply fashion sense to thousands of mortal men.

04. David Beckham

It takes the effort of an extraordinary and talented player to take the game of soccer to new levels, and David Beckham is the kind of player who makes fans stand up.Known as the best soccer player in England, he was one of Manchester United's biggest draws before switching to Real Madrid in 2003. And he took North America by storm in 2007 when he announced his move overseas to join Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy for $250 million. A footballer with an uncanny ability to score goals and get the crowd on its feet, he's also married to former Spice Girl Victoria Adams.

David Beckham is a pop star in a soccer uniform. Not only is he married to Victoria Adams, the Spice Girl formerly known as Posh, but he is the most famous footballer in the world. He is the pretty boy, rock star and teen idol of England, even though he no longer plays for the English Premiership.

"It's scary to read things like that, you know, being the best player in England, but it gives me confidence. I'm not going to go around shouting about things that people say about me, but it's nice that they say it."

- David Beckham, on being referred to as "the new Gascoigne." David Robert Joseph Beckham was born May 2, 1975, in Leytonstone, England. As a student in Essex, Beckham won the Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills Award at the age of 11, making his football talent evident at an early age.David Beckham is England's answer to the Spice Girls. He is a pop star in a soccer uniform. Not only is he married to Victoria Adams, the Spice Girl formerly known as Posh, but he is England's most famous and brightest soccer player. He is the pretty boy, rock star and teen idol of the country, even though he no longer plays for the English Premiership (England's top soccer or football league).

David Beckham isn't outspoken or particularly extroverted, but his temper is almost as famous as his hairstyles, and has gotten him into a fair share of trouble.

Talent-wise, few can compare to him. But more often than not, he is quoted as the most marketable player in the world (instead of the best) because of his charisma and his enormous fan base. Without an underlying talent though, not even the world's most charismatic character would have the global appeal Beckham has.

David Beckham has one of the coolest jobs in the world. He has played in front of some of the world's most ardent fans, the Manchester United faithful, known as one of the loudest and most faithful in soccer, and has played among the brightest stars of his sport as a member of Real Madrid.

He is also revered as a fashion icon, a heartthrob and an all-around cool guy.

His wife, Victoria, was known as the most stylish of the Spice Girls, and her sense of fashion has rubbed off on David. He has gone from a simple boy, to an icon in trendy British magazines. Whenever he gets a new haircut, it's right there on the cover of every paper, and it's safe to say that he can pull off any look he chooses. Now how many athletes have become trendsetters?

05. Clive Owen

He's badass, he's charming, he's an incredible actor. Clive Owen looks like he stepped right out of an East End dagger fight onto the film studio, bringing a fresh stack of authentic steely attitude to the screen. We are hip to the coolest British export since the Jaguar.Already a sensation in the UK, he won international renown in the sleeper hit Croupier, then as the deranged professor who tried to whack Matt Damon in The Bourne Identity. After donning the crown in King Arthur, he got nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Closer, and brought justice to the apocalypse in Sin City.

Clive Owen is a manly chap. He wears sharp English suits like he was born in them, always giving out the nagging suspicion that he has a few hand cannons concealed underneath. He walks tall, talks low, and acts tough. But he's no character actor, and he makes sure everyone understands this.

"I'm quite male, but also quite sensitive -- I'm not afraid of my feminine side." -Clive Owen Clive Owen was a great student until he discovered acting. Born on October 3, 1964, in Coventry, England, the kid got top marks before playing the Artful Dodger in a production of Oliver! when he was 13. Obsessed with the craft, he couldn't keep his mind on anything else.Clive Owen is a manly chap. He wears sharp English suits like he was born in them, always giving out the nagging suspicion that he has a few hand cannons concealed underneath. He walks tall, talks low, and acts tough. But he's no character actor, and he makes sure everyone understands this.

The toughness Clive brings to his characters is entirely his, but only a man with an acute sensitivity to the world can portray the believable emotions he does. Catch him in a movie where he plays a real man with real flaws and not a beefy cartoon character and you can see why.

As someone who has sweat plenty to get where he is, Clive Owen is humble, approachable, but no less demanding about the quality of his work. In the gamut of English stereotypes, he falls squarely on the gentleman side, exuding the kind of confidence only seen in those with an unshakable belief in their craft, who have scraped through the worst and come out on top.

And despite being best-suited for playing hardened characters, Owen has shown an amazing versatility. He played a gay prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. He played an impassioned aid worker. And he played a cop who's slowly going blind. All things considered, Clive can grab a hold of a character and make him incredibly believable. The sharp threads, the steely confident gaze, and the rugged good looks usually do it. But Owen is not one to stick to the bare necessities. The man is smart, ambitious, and highly adaptable to many roles. Some women may prefer the aw-shucks bumbling charm of Hugh Grant or the androgynous boyishness of Orlando Bloom, but Clive is testosterone on tap with rough hands and a firm grip. He's the tall, dark stranger women wish would pin them against the wall to have his way with them. Clive Owen is mean. Just look at his working-class pedigree, and the fact that he hustled pool for a few years. Tell any Briton where he's from and immediately they defer with cautious respect. Even that uneven schnoz of his only adds to his ruffian cool (although it was the product of an encounter with a tree branch, but who cares about the details?).

Clive's so frosty smooth, he has only been offered awesome roles of late. And no one but the denizens of the top layers of cool are considered for the role of James Bond.

Very much the Englishman, Owen can be seen in dark, shiny suits with wide lapels and an immaculate Windsor knot. Should he wish to cut loose, he'll downgrade to a V-neck T-shirt, but keep the suit on top. An unfortunate public appearance in a polo shirt undid the magic, but he was quick to not let that happen again.

06. Tiger Woods

The guy is so good, so young, and with so much more ahead of him, it's a bit of a wonder why we haven't featured him before. Is there anyone in the world who wouldn't trade places with him right now? He's the most exciting thing to happen to golf since well, since golf was born! He's young, without a doubt the best player in the world and he's got his whole career ahead of him. Not to mention that he's won just about every tournament that counts this year.

Tiger Woods changed things. Like it or not, he turned the world of golf on its head. He brought new fans to the game, substantially increased the game's audience and popularity, which led to an increase in TV ratings and tournament purses. Let's not forget to mention the fact that he's setting a new precedence by completely dominating his sport in a way not seen since Wayne Gretzky in the 80's.

"Golf, as we know it, is over. It came to an end on a chamber-of-commerce Sunday evening in Las Vegas when Tiger Woods went for the upgrade: He's not just a promising young Tour pro anymore, he's an era." -Gary Van Sickle, Sports Illustrated, commenting on Tiger's talent Record breaking pro golfer Eldrick "Tiger" Woods was born on the 30th of December, 1975, the only child to parents Earl, retired lieutenant, and Kultida, of Thai descent. Earl Woods gave his son Eldrick the nickname "Tiger", after a soldier and friend of his father who was also nicknamed Tiger in his days as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army.Tiger Woods changed things.

Despite all his endorsements and his killer smile, Tiger is still a boy trapped in a man's body. Take away the golf clubs and the fame, and you have a foul-mouthed, skirt chaser that would make any college fraternity proud. But that is also his appeal; he is one of us, one of the boys who pretends to be a man. And when he wins a tournament, we feel like it's us out there (minus the awful swing).

He is a well-schooled boy that took more public relations courses than golf lessons. He plays the media game better than anyone as he uses his fame with the fury of a tyrant. Get on his bad side and he'll ignore you in way that would make lepers feel more loved. Not that we wouldn't do the same in his shoes, but Tiger is smart enough to know when to turn on the charm and when to be himself.

Have you seen the Nike commercial where he bounces the ball on his club like Diego Maradona dribbles a soccer ball? The talent question was answered a long time ago. Setting aside the fact that he is a bit goofy looking, women absolutely go gaga over the "Chosen One". He's young, rich, talented, and famous from here to Zimbabwe; why wouldn't they want to be around him? He made golfing cool, and turned the game into the trendy activity of the year. And we thought it was just a game for old guys with pot bellies and too much money in their pockets.

He is the best dressed guy in the PGA, but outside the golf course it seems like his mommy still dresses him. Sure, you've seen him in spreads looking stylish, but that wasn't exactly Tiger putting those ensembles together.

07. Denzel Washington

He's got talent tattooed all over; he's an accomplished entertainer; and a very respectable man who is more than an actor to many people. Calling him a hero might be a stretch, but his fans think he is, and if you've seen the size of some of his fans, you'd know better than to argue.Other than being one of the best actors on the face of the earth, Denzel has stayed remarkably humble. He's portrayed great men such as Malcom X and Hurricane Carter to name a few and has done the roles justice where most would surely have failed! Denzel isn't afraid to get his hands dirty by accepting smaller roles that help him hone his skills. Oh, lest we forget, he's one slick dude.

Denzel Washington is one of the world's most intense actors, the kind to always leave an impression on audiences with his performances. Not one to sit down on his laurels or cash in on his fame in action-based blockbusters, Denzel has carefully crafted for himself one of the most respectable careers in Hollywood history.

"I like talking. I like acting. Running and jumping and ducking bullets is not my idea of a good day." -Denzel Washington on his preference for performance films rather than Blockbuster action movies Denzel Washington Jr. was born in Mount Vernon, New York, on December 28, 1954. The middle child of his parents' three children, Washington grew up surrounded by fervent performances and constant storytelling.Denzel Washington is one of the world's most intense actors, the kind to always leave an impression on audiences with his performances. Not one to sit down on his laurels or cash in on his fame in action-based blockbusters, Denzel has carefully crafted for himself one of the most respectable careers in Hollywood history.

But his impact on Hollywood goes beyond just his Oscar-caliber performances; he helped pave the way for African-Americans by inspiring many of them to pursue their dream of acting. He never set out to open doors, but he did, and he has respectfully accepted that role, something we respect tremendously. Bottom line: he amazes both audiences and critics alike.

His talent is unquestionable, and his numerous Oscar nominations (and two Oscar trophies) prove this. His keen choice of films has also helped him take on high-profile movie roles. The only knock against Denzel's personality is that he isn't always the most approachable person, in fact he can be downright grumpy. But get him in a good mood, and no one will laugh harder or joke around more than he does. Women around him don't go to the euphoric lengths they do when around Brad Pitt, but good luck finding a woman who hasn't given a thought to a night with Mr. Washington. Unfortunately for the ladies, he's married, but if he can't handle all the women, we are more than willing to help out. Even his salary has finally caught up with his reputation. He has for a while been the most recognizable black actor in history, and now he is also the best paid, if not also the most respected. He's not cutting edge, he's not trendy, but he is one of those guys you'd love to chill with in a cigar lounge surrounded by supermodels. His presence makes any event cool, and that's what counts in our coolness factor.

He's a pretty conservative guy, so he never goes to public events wearing anything crazy (or made out of moose hair). He's one of Hollywood's most stylish men, and with his physique he always looks good (let's admit it guys, most of us would kill to have the kind of cut body Denzel does, okay let's not admit that particular fact).

08. Jude Law

The future is bright for Jude Law, as he is poised to become a serious contender for the title of "premier British leading man." His calm and collected demeanor, along with his talent, makes him somebody to look out for.He has set young girl's hearts aflutter on both sides of the pond. After an Oscar nomination for his role in The Talented Mr. Ripley launched him into the Hollywood constellation, Jude has proven his star status with roles in Road to Perdition and Alfie.

If you automatically think of the famous Beatles song "Hey Jude" and the 19th century novel Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy when you hear the name Jude Law, you aren't far off. Law's parents based his name on both the song and the novel. One would think that with talent and charm reminiscent of Cary Grant, Jude Law would have been playing leading roles in Hollywood earlier on in his career, rather than the more obscure roles he has chosen up until now.

A few years ago, Jude Law only appeared in artsy British film fare, but ever since he played Dickie Greenleaf in 1999's underrated The Talented Mr. Ripley, Jude has been the name to watch for. We predicted that he would become the next big leading man, and with six movies (count 'em: six) to his credit in 2004, Mr. Law is breaking all the rules.

"I throw raw vegetables at them." -Jude Law, about the paparazzi. David Jude Law was born on December 29, 1972, and grew up in Southeast London with his parents and older sister. Jude started acting at the age of 12 with the National Youth Music Theatre. At 17, he landed a recurring role on the popular British daytime soap Families, after having dropped out of school to pursue a full-time acting career. Several years later, Law was touring Europe doing stage performances.

In North America, his accent evokes charm and sophistication, but back home he is just another bloody actor. Nevertheless, he is a bloody actor with more charm than Bill Clinton and Pierce Brosnan rolled into one. Just look at him: he oozes goddamn charisma.

Jude Law has women wrapped around his finger... and why wouldn't he? His charm alone would attract the birds his way, much less his looks (who are we kidding? We can spot when someone's that lucky).

Jude is one cool dude. In fact, he is so cool that his friends call him "the fridge." Actually, we made that last one up, but it sounded pretty smart.

His good looks might give people reason to dismiss him as just another "pretty boy," but Jude takes it in stride. Jude prefers to dress a la European chic, but he is just as comfortable wearing running shoes, track pants and a cap. He dresses the part of the movie star, from his pinstriped suits to his cool bomber jackets.

09. Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake began his career as a Mouseketeer in 1993 at the age of 12. He rocketed to fame as a member of the boy-band *NSYNC, and is now a major player as a solo artist in the music industry. In 2002, Timberlake released his first solo effort, Justified. The album’s critical success won him two 2004 Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his hit single “Cry Me A River.” His most recent album FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006) made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts in America, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

Timberlake’s musical success is matched by his celebrity on the newsstands, as he appeared on the cover of GQ in August 2006 and obtained a coveted Rolling Stone cover in September 2006.

Behind the scenes In 2005, Justin Timberlake moved toward the management side of music to open his own record company, JayTee Records. In October of the same year, he was recognized for his humanitarian efforts in his home state of Tennessee by the Grammy Association.

Outside of the music industry, Timberlake keeps heavy ties to other areas of entertainment. Always a fashionable celebrity, Timberlake worked with his best friend, Trace Ayala, to open the William Rast line of clothing. He, like other famous names, also secured business in the restaurant industry, opening the Asian-inspired Chi in 2003.

On a personal note, Timberlake’s love life remains stable with the beautiful Cameron Diaz by his side. On the horizon In 2007, Timberlake will star in Black Snake Moan alongside screen veterans Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci. The controversial film covers the blues, sexual abuse and love. He will also lend his voice to the children’s market in Shrek the Third as the animated version of young King Arthur. Finally, to add to his busy schedule, Timberlake will be embarking on a large-venue tour for his 2006 FutureSex/LoveSounds album.

10. Tom Brady

In the past three years, no one has dominated the NFL playoffs like Tom Brady. He has quarterbacked his New England Patriots to new heights, reviving a franchise that was thought to be going nowhere. Very few have made such an impact in the league so early, and Brady shows promise of delivering the goods for many years to come.In less than three full NFL seasons as a quarterback, Brady has led the Patriots to two Super Bowl wins. Added to his pair of championship rings are two Super Bowl MVP trophies and accolades as one of the league's best quarterbacks. With Brady at the reigns of the Patriots, there is talk of a new dynasty in the NFL.

There's talk of too much parity in the National Football League, but after seeing the New England Patriots take home the Super Bowl trophy twice in the last three seasons, we're confident a consistent winner is here to stay. Who's the man behind the magic in New England? It's Tom Brady, of course.

Though the NFL has seen backup quarterbacks become All-Stars in the past (Steve Young), none have made noise as quickly as Brady has. In 2001, he replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe and marched the Patriots through the playoffs, only to upset the St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl. In 2003, after a slow start, he led his team to 15 straight wins (the second most in NFL history) and won another thrilling Super Bowl on February 1st, 2004. Quarterbacks often do not have careers like Brady's -- he has been in the league for only four years!

"Don't let other people tell you what you're capable of. As long as you believe in yourself and work hard to achieve whatever you set your mind to, you just keep plugging away. It may not be up to your timetable, but you can get it done." -Tom Brady Born in the upper-class city of San Mateo, California on August 3rd, 1977, Thomas Edward Brady, Jr. was immersed in sports at a young age. His parents and three older sisters were all heavily involved in sports, either as fans or as athletes, and passed this passion on to little Tom.There's talk of too much parity in the National Football League, but after seeing the New England Patriots take home the Super Bowl trophy twice in the last three seasons, we're confident a consistent winner is here to stay. Who's the man behind the magic in New England? It's Tom Brady, of course.

Quarterbacks often do not have careers like Brady's -- he has been in the league for only four years!

There's something so simple about Brady's game that makes it hard not to enjoy watching him. He does not light up the stats sheet or make the nightly highlight reel -- he simply gets the job done. This workman attitude has won him admirers across the NFL... not to mention two Super Bowl championships.

A large part of Brady's accomplishments can be attributed not to his strong arm or accurate passing, but to his calm, cool and collected demeanor. When it's crunch time, he is at his best, relaxing his teammates with nerves of steel. He has shown his mettle in dozens of come-from-behind victories, including two Super wins.

Proving that he is one of the most approachable guys in the NFL, the media has become his friend, not his enemy. He still remembers the years he spent out of the spotlight as a backup and displays the same blue-collar attitude that is adopted by most benchwarmers.

Of course, we would not be talking about Brady if he did not have the skills of an All-Pro. As one of the NFL's most efficient and intelligent quarterbacks, he knows when to throw the ball deep, dump it off in the slot, or even run with it. Tom's two Super Bowl MVP awards are proof of his value to the Patriots; without him, they would not be sitting atop the NFL today. Hey, the man's athletic, rich and has a million-dollar smile. We can't fault our girlfriends and millions of women across America for swooning over Tom. He's seen as the fresh, new face of the NFL and the fact that he has already won two championships isn't hurting his chances of conquering the opposite sex either.

Though we love Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Michael Vick, Tom Brady is the quarterback to look up to these days. When we're playing flag football with our buddies, we instinctively imagine that we've become Brady, guiding the ball to teammates with power and precision. On top of the championship rings, he has won cool cars as an MVP, brings in a fat salary, and is on the road to signing rich endorsement deals.

To match his laidback character, Tom Brady wears some fairly casual clothes. He is a fan of the typical "T-shirt and jeans" look, sometimes throwing a V-neck or pair of khakis into the mix. Though Tom is most often seen in Patriot blue and white, he has still been caught committing a few fashion faux pas. At the Super Bowl XXXVIII parade in February 2004, for instance, Brady was wearing one of the most odd, off-the-wall hats we've ever seen. If he toned down his wardrobe and tried wearing some more formal wear, we'd be down with his style as much as we are with his football skills
