Total Gym Dimensions

When I set out to design my home gym, I knew that I needed things like the Total Gym dimensions to get it right. That is because the Total Gym dimensions of the specific machine I was going to buy had to be a good fit to the room size, where the workout room is and the house and how it will work in the room. This is why it is good to learn your Total Gym dimensions before you buy the unit so you can anticipate how you will use it and how it will benefit your workout plans when the unit is in your home and set up. Most of us convert a spare room into our home gym so its important to know in advance that the Total Gym dimensions will allow plenty of room for the equipment and for you to exercise comfortably in the room as well.

The Total Gym dimensions about the floor space that you will need is a primary consideration. Along with floor space, ceiling clearance above the unit is important so you can set it up and move it around without a concern. Along with understanding the Total Gym dimensions when it is set up, you must know that you will be able to fit the unit through the door of the room before you set it up. Look at the room that will be your workout space with an eye on how it will work when you move the unit in for the first time.

Since the Total Gym dimensions for various models vary significantly, you can find one that fits the room you are planning to use. That is the value of a single unit workout device like the Total Gym because so much exercise potential is centralized to one unit that does not take up much floor space. It paid off for me to do some measuring and put some thought into where my workout area would be so that I could then consider the various Total Gym dimensions of the units that were right for me and for my home.

Now if you have a very large room that you can devote to your exercise needs, the Total Gym dimensions are helpful in laying out the room for adding more equipment as you may desire as your exercise program grows. You can lay out the room in sections so that you know the exact area you will need for the Total Gym dimensions of your unit when it arrives. While my workout space was not huge, it was nice to have additional space for exercise balls, mats and other equipment that is part of a full exercise program.

If you are starting well in advance of buying your home gym, knowing the various Total Gym Dimensions should be considered in light of your total living space. As I evaluated the various locations in my home, the Total Gym dimensions were important statistics to which area would make a good workout space. While I do not have a basement in my home, I know that many people find a basement gym to be an excellent option. However, the location of the workout equipment to the stairs and other uses of the basement such as for doing laundry may make the basement a second choice at best.

I did give the garage serious consideration as well for a home gym space. Usually a garage can easily accommodate the Total Gym dimensions and it seems like a good place to workout because you can leave the equipment up and not take up a room in your home for exercises. However, keep in mind that the space you give to your workout equipment will not be available for your automobile. I was also uncomfortable devoting garage space for my workout area even though it could accommodate my Total Gym dimensions because the temperature variations between summer and winter could be a deterrent to using my home gym.

Make sure whatever area of your home that you devote to your home gym that it is a space you like to go to and that you will use it. Making sure the space is big enough to accommodate your Total Gym dimensions is important for sure. But also be sure it suits how you like to work out. It is hard enough to make yourself stay fit. So if you are going to invest in Total Gym equipment and setting up a home gym, you want to be sure it will get used.
