We all know and love tower defense games, they have been available for years and years and have entertained people for hours at end. There since recently there is a tower defense game released for the Windows Mobile WVGA/VGA platform. If you don't already know what a tower defense game is, in a tower defense game you get a map on your screen with obstacles and a base that you have to defend against enemies. The enemies can be fend off by placing towers on the map that has to kill them before they reach your base. Tower defense is one of the most fun games you can find on the Windows Mobile platform.

When you start the game, gradually enemies start walking from one side of the map to the other trying to reach your base. When you are unable to stop the enemies from entering your base and doing their damage you lose health. Obviously you have to prevent this otherwise your base gets destroyed. As said you have to place towers in the way or on the way of the enemies moving to your home base to stop them. In this Windows Mobile WVGA game you have the option between 6 difference towers to place in your defense. The different towers do different types of damage to the enemies. Though it's not completely clear what the different towers do, So when you first start playing you have to kind of mix a bit and see what works best And it can be quite tedious to find a right mix of towers if this remains in the dark.

When you kill the incoming enemies you gain money, with this money you can either buy new towers or upgrade the towers you already have. The towers can be upgraded a total of 2 times and when you do they get a tad more bad ass graphics, the graphics become cooler or more obvious and the towers gain more guns.

Tower Defense for Windows Mobile has two levels that you can play, they both bring something else to the table strategically wise. Tower Defense features 3 difficult levels where easy is a good one to start out with. Sound and music you can change in the options menu like most other games. Sadly there is no option to save your game to other slots, there is only one that the game uses when you wish to resume an earlier played game. If you decide to start a new game you cannot resume the game you played before that.

This game is one of the best and most fun games featured on the newer WVGA/VGA Windows Mobile devices you can find. If you have always enjoyed Tower Defense games you should definitely get it, because it is one of the best games that has come out for Windows Mobile phones. The little downsides of this game include not being able to save different game and the fact that it’s not completely clear what the different towers do. But these little things do not take away from the fun of the game and it gets a 8.5 out of 10 easy.
