Have you ever tried to trace a cell phone number?  Basically, the process works exactly the opposite of searching someone by name.  Just find a directory and enter the number are searching.  The directory will then tell you whether an owner’s name and other identifying information exists in connection with that number.

Sure, you can just call the number and get to the bottom of things that way.  What if, however, you don’t want to go about things that way?  Maybe you’d rather know who that person was before deciding whether to call back.  Well, that is where a reverse cell lookup directory comes in, which is essentially a database that contains the personal information behind most cell phone numbers.

So, where can you get this information?  Using resources like the White Pages and traditional online phone books are not going to help you in retrieving the information behind a cell phone number.  This information is owned and controlled by the cell phone companies, and is not considered public information.  And the cell phone companies don’t share this information with White Pages or any other traditional online phone book directory.

So, what does this mean to you?  The information will cost a small fee.  You can try and try to find this information online for free, but it will all be for nothing.  That’s just the long and short of it.  But once you decide it is worth the effort to complete a reverse cell lookup, you will get a fast, accurate, and detailed report.  Included in the report will be the following information:

•    Cell phone owner’s name
•    Billing address
•    Service provider
•    Service status

Also, typically, you’ll get a Google Maps location of the owner’s address and other miscellaneous personal information when you trace a cell phone number on a reputable site. In short, the report will answer pretty much every question you may have in regard to the identification of the person behind the cell phone number in question.
