You can press them and see how they react and learn about their ability to deceive. You can begin to find their lying "tells" for use later. Or you could just tell them that you were tracking them and know that you are full of crap.

How you handle it is up to you, I just suggest that you use some caution when using covert GPS tracking for teens because they can become very emotional very quickly. Wisdom and discernment are key here.

If your teen isn't overly rebellious and you are still reading this article than you probably have a teen that is at high risk for kidnapping or abduction. You are probably very rich or live in a country where every American or wealthy white person is seen as easy source of cash. Your kids could get taken.

You probably have a lot of security measures in place to keep your teenage son or daughter safe but you are looking for that one extra safety measure for your child. Covert GPS tracking may be that little extra sense of security that you need.

In this case, your teen should definitely know about the tracking device and how best to keep it hidden. Do you sew it into their pants? Place it within a shoe? Attack it to their belt? There are lots of options depending on how small of a device you are able to purchase and the battery life of the device.

Going with someplace inconspicuous but also on an indispensable article of clothing is a really good idea. That way the captors are less likely to discard the item and leave your GPS tracking device on the side of the road while your teenager is taken away. Who is going to strip your teen down naked while kidnapping them? It seems very unlikely to me, but I do not have any special knowledge in kidnappings in the US or abroad.

You will also want to train your teen on how to keep the device hidden without drawing any attention to it. This will be important for the recovery effort.

Finally, you are going to want a device that is very powerful and able to transmit its position over great distances. You will want a GPS data pusher, not a data logger. A data pusher will transmit the position information calculated by the covert GPS unit and sent it out to a central processing station where you and the police/government can have access to the data. This will alert them to the kidnappers location and assist in the rescue of your teen!

Whether or not to use covert GPS tracking for teens is going to come down to a parents style and needs. This form of tracking is certainly not for everyone and can do a lot of harm if used in the wrong situation for the wrong reason. Be sure that you think clearly and deeply about the issues that this type of tracking can stir up. Remember, covert GPS tracking is not for everyone.
