Tracy Biller is one of network marketing's top trainers. Having built two large downlines, both times becoming the #1 earner in each company. Naturally he was in great demand by his downline to do training calls for them. After a while Tracy became tired of doing the weekly calls, so he put his training on a tape called "Power Recruiting".

Tracy Biller may have been the first to apply target marketing to the MLM industry. Most MLM companies and distributors teach you to go after your "warm market", make a list, etc. You have probably heard this many times yourself. But in truth all these people are probably not really interested in your opportunity. They are not your target market!

As Tracy teaches, your target market is other network marketers. Why? Because these are the people who have expressed an interest in a home business by becoming a distributor in a MLM company. So these are the people you want to market to.

This makes perfect sense to me. You don't try to sell a product or service to someone who has no interest in what you are selling. Find people who are interested and open to what you are selling. You don't try to sell candy to a diabetic; they probably are not interested in buying candy.

I have Tracy's CD's and highly recommend them. My favorite is: "MOTIVATION - How To Become Self-Motivated So That You Embrace, Pursue And Accomplish Your Dreams".

However, as much as I like his training, I do have two comments to make on it.

1. In the majority of MLM companies only a small percentage of the associates are seriously interested in the business. The majority of the people registered with the company so that they could get the product or service at the cheapest price. They are not really interested in the opportunity.

2. Tracy strongly believes that you need to personally call each distributor and ask them if they would be interested in looking at another business opportunity.

Most people really do not like to call strangers and ask them about joining their team. You would have to make hundreds, if not thousands of calls. For most people it is not time or cost effective. Personally I don't want to make 100 to 200 calls a day to genealogy list.

Internet marketing can overcome these two problems. No Phone Calls! Secondly only those who are interested in a business opportunity will take the time to look. You don't waste your time or money on people who are not interested.

How would your business change if active networkers started contacting you every day? Would that give you new enthusiasm to achieve the level of success you have been working for? Start working with other professionals alreading in network marketing.
