Trading Up! A weird experiment in trade

Would you like to make a trade?

I was reading about a young man who had started to play a grade school game that I enjoyed when I was little in real life. It's called trading up. You take an item and trade it for something just a little bit better than what you have. You do this multiple times through out a predetermined period of time and see what you end up with. His goal was to trade up to a house by starting with a paper clip. It took him a little more than two years but he did eventually get his house.

I have a proposition!

I would like to do the exact same thing only starting with something a little more valuable and only giving myself a year to see how much better I have done. I am the owner of an Alpine Bow, I own this and only I own this. It is worth about $80. I am trying to subdue my own curiosity as to what it is I would end up with at the end of a year by starting with something of this magnitude. I'm not looking to trade it for something outrageously expensive just something that is slightly better. I don't really care what it is because I'm not going to keep it. I am going to take that and trade it for something just a little bit better and then trade that as well. At the end of one year of doing this I will stop and see what I have. If anyone reading this is interested in trading anything at all for this experiment the only rule is that it has to be just a little better than the item I currently have. As the item changes I will update this page and continue to do so until the time limit is up. I hope this sparks some sort of response and I also hope to hear an offer. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please wish me luck if nothing else.

This sounds like an interesting experiment and I would like to see where it goes.

Well at the moment it's going nowhere but hopefully it will gain some ground.
