Traffic Bug Review

Honestly, I've never done a product review in my life. I figured I'd start with a Traffic Bug Review because it would be so easy because it's everything that it promises. Not to say that there isn't room for improvement, but it's still in BETA and the hard-working, coders, and owners know this.

[also, at time of writing, they do not have an affiliate program, so this is legit review...or, at least until they do!!]

What is Traffic Bug?

I'm not going to re-hash the Traffic Bug Info Page, but I won't have to because it's pretty simple.

Traffic bug does 4 things:

1. Social Bookmarking

2. Directory Submissions

3. RSS Directory Submissions

4. Search Engine Submissions

That's it. There you go.

Oh, and it does it automatically with title/description/keyword spinning; drips them over time as you see fit (user-determined aggression levels - low-med-high); allows for sub-page, video, article, and mini-site submission for each main page; no-sign up to social bookmarking sites necessary (or add your logins and it'll submit to those too); weekly submission reports; easy graphic user interface; and up-to-date submission numbers broken down into categories.

That's it.

Oh, yeah, and it does it with all their bookmarking accounts (ie, you don't need to do any tedious account sign-ups and enter them in like other "auto" social bookmarking services)

That's it.

Oh, yeah, and there's an 11 day FREE TRIAL or like a 30 day FREE TRIAL or something ridiculous like that if you join the 30 Day Challenge (which is also pretty ridiculous...in a good way...the thunda' from down unda').

UPDATE on TRAFFIC BUG

[10/3/09]

I'm #1 for TRAFFIC BUG REVIEW (1 of 6.8M results)

and

#4 for TRAFFIC BUG (4 of 12.9M results)

I used Traffic Bug, primarily and some commenting here and there. But, I tried to rely on using Traffic Bug for the most part as the strategy to get this hub up in the SERPs.

So, yeah, if you need a little boost in the search engines, try this great auto social bookmarking service for free and see if it works for you...

More on Traffic Bug - Auto Social Bookmarking Tool

Cool Feature:

Traffic Bug tells you on the main homepage how many minutes you saved with their service. I've been using Traffic Bug for 5 days now and have saved a reported 4540 minutes of my life by letting TB do my social bookmarking, directory submissions, rss submissions, and search engine submissions.

[Numbers are based on having entered several sites into the system...]

That's approx. 3.152778 days (75.667 hours). Approx. 1.676 days hours of which accounts for social bookmarking (40 hours). Approximations based on 3 min/directory submission, 2 min/social bookmark. That's pretty fast in my opinion. It takes me more than 2 minutes to do a social bookmark; maybe more than five. They probably didn't account for the logging in and out, etc... So, I guess, Traffic Bug has saved me even more time!

Putting that into perspective, that's A LOT of time saved.

How To Easily Add Sites to Traffic Bug

Basically, there's a MANAGE SITES page and that's where you'd add your site information:

Project title, url, rss, and category are the first set of fields to be filled in. Easy Enough...

Next, is the good stuff - your anchored text titles, descriptions, and keywords.

Traffic bug let's you enter 6 of each. 6 titles, 6, descriptions, and 6 keywords (666 to k*ll the competition!! Woohoo! TB FTW!). Although, you only have to enter 3 titles and descriptions to make it work (ie, 3 entries are required...).

Then, you can choose your aggression level (low, med, high); whether you want to submit to RSS directories; do directory submissions for that particular link; and/or search engine submissions.

Lastly, enter an e-mail address for confirmation links and emails from directories. Definitely use a free account for this because you'll get many.

Oh, yeah, HIT SUBMIT* and go have a latte or a pint...because you're done!

(*you could also EXPORT those settings as a CSV and IMPORT these settings for later use with TB on other similar site links later like article submissions, video, mini sites, etc... within the same topic - that's super sweet! And, since it's a CSV, you can do whatever you want with that info - like do some submissions manually to DIGG, MIXX, etc...)

What Social Bookmarking Sites Does Traffic Bug Submit To?

A1Webmarks, Bookmark Tracker, Fark, Google Bookmarks, Indian Pad, MyLinkVault, Searchles, Cloudy Tags, White Links, Bookmax, EasyBM, Spurl, DZone, Delicious, Weblinkr, Suptoronto, Backflip, Damnsexy, Kredyty, Mpog, Scuttle, Kredyty, Tagza, Dizzed, Blurpalicious, Bukmark, Simpy, URL Bookmarks, Quadriot, Propeller.

And they're working on some big ones like Digg and Stumble.**

(**to cover your bases in the mean time, check out ONLYWIRE.COM for Digg, Mixx, and Stumble and like 20 others - but really doesn't compare to Traffic Bug)

Which Directories Does Traffic Big Submit To?

They submit to over 130 search engines right off the bat. The website and rss directories list is still being compiled and is said to be over 1000+ and still many being added. The staff at Traffic Bug says that they'll release a list when they have tested them all for a stable list of the most reliable and effective sites. That's very nice...

ANOTHER TRAFFIC BUG VIDEO BELOW...

Traffic Bug vs. Bookmarking Demon vs. Onlywire vs. Manual

Totally different: One is an insect the other is a beast of sorts...

(bad joke, moving on...)

#1: Traffic Bug is web-based while Bookmarking Demon is PC-based (ugh...).

#2: Traffic Bug is a subscriptions service (albeit, a very cheap one) and BM is a one-time fee.

#3: Traffic Bug is WAY simpler and does directory, rss, and SE submissions.

#4: BM will do scuttle sites.

Okay, so there are way more differences...like I said, totally different beast/insects...

Which one do I like better?

Are you crazy? Seriously? You need to have both! AND, use Onlywire, and do some manual submissions...

They do different jobs.

Onywire.Com for the big boys...Digg, Stumble, Mixx, etc... (which can be done with a bookmarklet [stupid word].

Traffic Bug for RSS, directory, and SE submissions and easy drip social bookmarking.

Social Bookmarking Demon for crazy links from everywhere (great for articles and mini-sites)!

Manual Submissions for sites that these applications don't cover.

Price Breakdown

(at this moment)

Traffic Bug - $25/month ($300/yr)

Here's the deal... I would gladly pay $1/bookmarking submission to not have to do it myself or maybe $0.50. I've had 1209 bookmarks done in 5 days. That would be $600. Even if I'd be willing to only pay $0.25 for each bookmark, I've already made my money back for the $300/yr I'd be spending....AND THAT WAS DONE IN HALF MY 11 DAY FREE TRIAL PERIOD!

Will I be signing up for the service after the 11 days? Yeah. Most likely...it's simple, it's easy, and it's set and forget.

Bookmarking Demon - $147 ($0/yr)

Love it. It's gangsta'. Every SEO, IM, MMO person needs to have it... Although it is a PC app and I'm mac, but I have another comp dedicated to Bookmarking Demon and a couple other apps that just do what they do on autopilot...(don't want to touch a PC more than I'd have to...hehe...calm down, fanboys...). If you don't have Bookmarking Demon, you're crazy...like Super Crazy...

Onlywire - $25/yr. or free with reciprocal links ($25 or $0/yr)

Super limited, but it'll get your link out to Digg, Mixx, Jumptags, Backflip, and more very quick with one click. I like that. But, if you use the same account over and over, it'll leave a trail, etc...

Manual - your precious time. I don't like this method ($your precious time$)

This is one of the best review, honest, fair and informative sites on social media softwares I have seen and it's in a Hub page! ;P

How great!

Yes, I will be the first to admit we need to keep adding to our software but I think most of our customers are blown away by how fast we work!

Our software is already one of the most advanced SEO softwares out there and for one of the most amazing prices on the net!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this!

Oh and by the way we have an affiliate program up now so you can make some MOOLAH!

;)

Thanks again,

Michael R Roberts

I have been using Traffic Bug for some time now (i was one of the 30dc'ers) and I can say that it is one of the kind time saver for me. I had used other manual bookmarking tools before but they were taking too much time which with Traffic Bug is only a snap as adding a project is, and then it takes over in the background it submits to multiple sites thus getting all backlinks, traffic and ranking etc. It also does RSS submissions that other bookmark automation tools do not!

Totally agree with you! I am at like 5000+ social bookmarks now. Insane. Before I really dreaded doing the whole social bookmark thing. Now, I spend a little time upfront and benefit for months to come. That's my kind of social bookmarking tool! I can't wait for the twitter feature to come out. That's another thing I hate doing. I'm not tweet master flex like the rest of the world. Again, Traffic Bug FTW!
