Social Networks such as Youtube, MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter are excellent resources to help you get traffic, assisting in propelling your site traffic, with very simple, easy actions. In addition to the fact that you can get free website traffic from these powerful networking entities, comes the bonus that you can set up a personal or company web page on these sites for free. In just a few minutes to under an hour you can have a place for your brand on MySpace, Youtube, and Facebook and the popular Twitter.

I'm quite sure that you have heard all this "get free traffic" business before, but have you acted on it, and is it working for you? I would like to share a super easy cool tip with you and explain somewhat the techniques that you may need to implement. Sometimes we find ourselves doing the right thing, but our method may need to be tweaked in order to reap the promised reward.

Many times it's because they cannot afford, timewise, to invest the dedication and focus necessary to learn the proper methods for getting FREE traffic. If only they understood that with just a little bit more skill than it takes to use email, they could build their brand, rank extremely high in the search engines... and have fun doing it!

Of course, it has taken some of us years to figure out all of these different methods to get traffic to our website, blogs, and product pages. Hopefully after today, you will have a new tip that you can very quickly absorb (it is so very easy) and implement. The sooner you implement this technique, the sooner you will see results.

I only have time and space in this particular hub to write about one very easy method which will take just a few minutes a day. Maybe you can only find time to network using this technique several times a week. That's okay too. Obviously the time put into it will determine the quality of your results, in your effort to get traffic to your site.

The secret is really just all about building community within the Web 2.0 social media websites. As I mentioned before, the easiest way to generate leads and to get traffic is to comment on high traffic sites winning friends and influencing people. As of April 2008, both Facebook and MySpace is attracting around 115 million people to their respective sites each month! Free leads, unlimited connections, a free webpage - company or individual - sounds like a winner to me. Each social site navigates differently. It is rather hard to explain it in this article, but I will do my best. MySpace is a pretty powerful application with alot of features, so I will discuss it lightly here. MySpace, like most other social media sites has several special areas that you have quick, easy access to. Categories include; Music Artist Search, MySpace TV, Groups, Forums, Classifieds, Blogs, People Finder and much more. You are encouraged to contribute material to any or all areas. You can upload your videos to be used on your site or shared with the whole community. You can write your own blogs and subscribe to other ones that interest you. Of course everything, even your page, can be made private. You can join a group or start one of your own! You can cruise the classifieds for just about anything and place ads for free.

Now here this is the cool part that would apply to our situation... the desire to make friends, influence people and maybe market or introduce our hubpage or wordpress site to our interested friends.

Remember I mentioned in my title that the traffic garnered from these sites was "targeted." Well it is. After you sign up and sign in, and after you build your web page, you begin to cruise through the site and look for friends. Now that part is fun and simple, as you can look through friends of friends, and their momma's profile, and it goes on forever and ever. As a matter of fact... alot of MySpacers become addicted... just as Hubbers do. That's how fun and relaxing this type of networking is.

But the way we would approach this as a small business or entrepreneur is by looking for specific connections and friends through the people "find people" link.

You can search by demographics, ie, age, sex, marital status, employment, hobbies, industry connections, school... You name it -You can find it on MySpace. These searches (which I believe Facebook and Youtube offers on some level) allow you to select folks with the same interests as you. You then invite them to your MySpace page and your friendship begins. ...A fun and an extremely relaxing way to network, for sure!
