It really comes down to first selecting one major keyword. This keyword should do well for you in Pay Per Click or have confidence that it will perform. Now, I say this because it takes a few weeks to get up in Google's search engine. Depending on the type of market you could be in a battle or smooth sailing. Do your research... this is not about research this is about getting your traffic, so back to lecture.

I like to use the following methods to get traffic to my website.

1. Article Marketing To Get Traffic To My Website - The article directories are great, but I would only use a select few as the others are wasting some time. How do I know this? It's because you can check the Google Cache and see the last time there deep pages (the one's where your article will be posted) have received a Google spider to it. You will notice a ton of these article directories are not even getting indexed deeply. This means your link or content will have no relevancy in the index and not count. This can be corrected though.... just send a link to it. (duhhh!)
2. Leveraging Web 2.0 Sites To Get Traffic To My Website - I just wanted to thank hub pages as they are web 2.0 site which allows me and YOU to develop content on there domain. Now you need to be careful and not have more than one link point to the same domain or you will get a no follow all over the page. This means they will not pass page rank and link juice to help you get more authority in Google's eyes. You can use Hub Pages and Squidoo (I am sure you know these.... because you are reading this)
3. I Get Traffic From Forums in My Niche - I am very surprised at the great prospects in the forums I get. These forums are perfect but you need to add value and post some good content there. This way you can have your bio have a link to something you are working on like my Rich Alchemist program. I offer good advice and then let them know more can be found like my video lessons on how to improve search engine rankings and how I get so much traffic to my website.
4. Use Social Bookmarking To Get Your New Content Indexed Faster - I use the dozens of social bookmarking services to get my stuff indexed. This helps get some decent traffic and I find it works very well with indexing pages quicker. Some Social bookmarking sites pass page rank but most don't. What you are trying to get out of Social Bookmarking is a Good Title sending visitors to good content. This will allow you to get more clicks and traffic.

Alright take action on those items if you have not before. And if you know and are not taking action then why? It's not always about how much we know, it's about what we do in life, meaning how much action we take to get the results we need.
