Traitors in the Americas

Revolution

The American Revolution was made by Brittish subjects and traitors.  Long before the war, there was revolution in the hearts and minds of great men.  These great men had much to loose.  No one had ever broken free of the Brittish Empire before.  What started in the hearts of these great thinkers, turned into a world war.

John Adams on HBO

Traitors and Heros

There was no American nation.  There was no American army.  There was not even a sweeping populer call for revolution.  There was a handfull of great thinkers in each of the 13 colonies.  These men risked everything for their radical utopian ideals.  They risked their families, their farms and businesses, their freedoms and liberties, such that they had, for what they belived to be right.  They did not win many battles or even skirmishes, but they won the war.  They won the freedom and sparked a cry for freedom that would eventually circle the globe.

History then and Now

These brave men fought with their minds for our freedoms and liberties today. We must never forget the cost of the rights we have as American Citizens. We have a duty as American's to uphold our rights and civil liberties. Greed and human commodities have made it a profitable business to sell away our rights. We can not let ourselves be caught unaware in this day of information. Many voices on the World Wide Web speak for all sides of the issues. Do not let yourselves be fooled. Just because they speak the loudest, does not neccesarily mean that they are the ones to listen to. Americans can not afford to not care. In-action can be a crime against humanity. This is a great time in which we live.  Whether one voice can make a difference or not, the many voices of this great nation can voice together and make changes for the better.

The United States has been around long enough that we forget it wasn't always "liberty and justice for all" here until 150+ years after the Mayflower arrived. Until then, residents of the American Colonies were British subjects, living under England's laws and paying taxes to the Crown. Great hub, Hank & Naddy!
