Man vs Food New episode
Tonight is a new episode of Man vs Food on the Travel Channel so at least there is something to watch on the tube. Granted, these days where they play it ALL DAY LONG is a little much. Seems to indicate lazy programming on their part. Still Adam Richman has some endearing qualities and some of the places he visits are worth writing down in case you are in the area.
The name of the series reflects Adam's attempt at an almost impossible task which can be a little hard to watch, but it isn't Andrew Zimmern eating Brazilian dung worms or whatever he chooses to eat. This is just a lot of food. That is always at the end of the half hour, however, and the first part of the show takes you to places that serve good food at reasonable prices.
We held off watching the show for a long time until there was nothing on, it was too hot to go outside, and we were forced to kill half an hour waiting for something meaningful to come on like Cash and Treasures or Extreme beach babes climbing Mount Everest or something. We watched as Adam showed some great burger places in Amarillo capping off the show by downing (or not) a 72 ounce steak at the Big Texan. Having been by there a number of times, I was curious anyway so we watched---- and enjoyed the show.
Now we look for the new episodes to fill the 9 o'clock time slot as we get ready to turn in. Better going to bed watching food and not eating it.

I can't tell whether you're a detractor or a fan. Whatever, this was a good hub!
Great hub Stuart, I get a kick out of watching some of his challenges also, I really love the ones where he has to eat the nitro wings and not have anything to drink for five minutes afterward. The one said they put 4oz. of dried Habenero peppers(maybe it was 4 tablespoons, I can't remember) but that is darn hot! Gotta give the guy kudos for attempting such feats.
Keep up the great work Stuart.

Thanks both of you for the comments. Fastfreta- this is one I enjoy. It is pretty mindless but I can add some of these places to my-- if I'm through there, I might stop--list. The host is very likeable which helps a lot.
