When it comes to addressing acne there is a lot at stake. Not only are we trying to improve the look and feel of our skin, but we are trying to change the way people look at us. So really, what we are doing is trying to improve the quality of our life. A lot of people that do not have acne do not see this. They do not know how painful it can be to live with acne. Of course, it's getting to the point nowadays where we do not have to live with acne anymore! That is because they are coming up with many different acne treatment solutions to keep our faces and bodies looking the best they can be. Cleaning up your acne not only makes you look good, it makes you feel good.

Of course, there are other causes of acne like bacteria and obstructed follicles that lead to things like blackheads and, of course, whiteheads. However, how do you know that you have acne? What are the symptoms? Also, what are the ages that people get acne? First of all, we will cover the age thing, because it's the easiest to address. Anyone can get acne; it's as simple as that. No matter your age, race, sex, or body type, you can get acne. Of course, it is more common in men, and in teens. However, that does not mean that older women could not get it. There is just a certain group of people that you see it on more often. Next, we will talk about the symptoms of acne. There are five different things that you can look for on your face and body to tell if you have acne. The first is the pimple, or what kids like to call the zit. The next most talked about symptoms are the whiteheads and blackheads. After that you have the pustules and the cysts. Keep in mind that the cysts are the worse kind of acne that you can get, and usually, this is the only kind of acne that can actually be painful to have. If you are unsure what some of these symptoms look like, you can actually view them online for a better understanding.

Did You Know?

Acne is created by over production of sebum created by rising levels of hormones in the skin?

Millions of people around the world suffer from acne. However, it is not a losing battle. With all the new acne treatments coming out everyday, it's easy to see how you can overcome acne and better yourself. It can be hard and painful to live with acne, both physically and mentally. Kids get picked on all the time for having acne in school. Although this is not fair, it does happen. So remember, dealing with acne is very important, but if you use an acne treatment that is made available to you, it's easy to keep your acne under control. Your acne can be controlled, and it can be controlled easier than you think.

Great info!! I also read that there are 3 different categories of acne: non inflammatory acne, inflammatory acne, and look-alike acne. They all have one thing in common... comedo, which according to dictionary.com is "a thickened secretion plugging a duct of the skin, esp. of a sebaceous gland; blackhead." Gross!
