A cat is a wonderful pet when they are looked after well. So that includes making sure they are free of fleas. This is important for the cat and for you. So just how do you get rid of fleas on your cat. You can get all sorts of cat flea powders and treatments but this hub also has a few other tips for getting rid of fleas on your cat.

Get a cloth and dampen it with white vinegar. Making sure you are gentle, rub the vinegar into your cats face making sure you do behind it’s ears and on its head. Important though is that you do not let the vinegar run into your cats eyes.

Ok now that the face is done you want to stand your cat in a basin of warm water. The water should have a reasonable amount of white vinegar in it. Now for the tricky bit. Have a go a submerging your cats body but not your cats face. Try and hold the cat there for 10 minutes or there abouts. You should be seeing the fleas just falling off your cats body.

Now take the cat out of the water and using a white towel dry off your cat thoroughly. With a comb give your cats fur a comb in the opposite direction to which it grows. If there are any fleas still in the fur then remove them.
