Natural supplements are fast becoming a way of life for many people because of the high cost and danger of prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs. There seems to be natural supplements for whatever ails you and gingivitis is no exception.

There are several things you can do to prevent or cure gingivitis by yourself. There is no guarantee that this will work for each individual but it has been written that it has helped some people. It is a simple and cheap routine so it is really worth a try.

Rinse your mouth with 5 ml. of 0.1% folic acid twice a day to reduce the inflamation and bleeding. Take 300 mg of vitamin C a day, plus 300 mg of flavonoids per day if you do not eat vegetables and fruits as you should. You can also help gingivitis by taking 50 to 60 mg. of co-enzyme Q10 each day. This is a powerful antioxidant that will help repair damaged gums and reduce gingivitis symptoms. There are toothpastes that contain sage oil, peppermint oil, chamomile, and myrrh to also treat gingivitis.

It is no fun having gingivitis and if you cannot afford a dentist, at least get some relief from these recommended supplements.

Natural supplements have not been approved by the FDA but that doesn't mean they do not help you lead a healthy life. Natural supplements are not classified as a food or a drug and this is why the FDA has no say so over them. If they had their way they would ban them from the market. They would rather keep the harmful and addictive drugs on the market.

Too many people take too many vitamins and supplements. Think of your liver, and remember...everything in moderation... and beware interaction with real medications. Watch for dangerous symptoms and discontinue use of anything you have added recently to your daily concotions should they arise. Bettert safe than sorry.
