Trump Strategies For Real Estate
54
George H. Ross is a legal advisor of Donald Trump who has worked with him since 1974. At that time, Donald Trump was only 27 but had an interesting project about and old building called Commodore Hotel in New York.
Then, throught this book we can see how it was that Trump started to earn more and more in real estate through acquisitions and renovations. Each chapter is a really good topic on real estate and other stuff such as negotiation, personal qualities, etc. and contains practical "case studies" in order to explain clearly concepts that were introduced before.
It's interesting, also, the story of George Ross related in the preface. He planned to be an engineer at MIT but due to the dead of his father, this dream was no more considered. George says that he learned much of his abilities to create real estate strategies when he was in the U.S. army as a cryptanalyst (code breaker). It was when he worked for a large company (Goldman) where he really developed almost every skill that made him a very savvy lawyer on real estate. First, he felt confused when knew he had to do something different from his former job, but what he was learning really, was how to create strategies to buy and sell real estate.
Finally, George Ross was advisor, negotiatior and lawyer on many of the most successful transactions of Trump (related to buildings such as the Trump Tower, the Grand Hyatt Hotel, 40 Wall Street or GM's building).
