Trumpette Socks are a company that manufacture and sell some of the most adorable socks, hoodies and baby gifts available to mommies, grannies and pretty much anyone that simply can't resist their charm and undeniable appeal.  It would appear that the quality and design of their products are much sought after by moms from all walks of life - eager to clothe their babies in something that’s just that little bit different.

Trumpette Socks

Trumpette socks were created by the owner of the company, Jon Stevenson. He was inspired to develop the unique sock brand due to becoming a single parent. His background was in fashion and after he adopted his son, he decided to develop a new range of clothing. This was due, in his opinion, to the world of fashion lacking where boys were concerned.

He initially designed what’s known as the Onsie, similar in style to pop-under baby vests. From that point he decided to try and sell his Onsie and was met with a very positive buyers’ response. After relocating form San Francisco to California, Jon went on to develop a new idea – socks in an egg carton, which would come to be known as the Perfect Little Dozen.

Perfect Little Dozen

Onsie

The Perfect Little Dozen went on to become a huge success and from that point, Trumpette Socks appeared to go from strength to strength. Since the company’s inception, you can now buy a whole range of baby attire, ranging from socks and tights right up to sweaters, hats and hoodies.

The premise that Trumpette appears to rest upon is the quality, unique design and the packaging. They really do have something about them – whether it’s the cute factor, the fact that they’re completely different - not to mention fun - from other baby attire brands or simply because they’re a well thought out design.

They come in two sizes: 0 – 12 months and 1 – 2 years. Trumpette observe the difference between girls and boys and this is very apparent in their styling.

Many of the boys’ socks resemble baseball and skater shoes, whilst the girls are similar to ballet slippers and cute flat pumps.

The colour range is also diverse, ranging from pastels through to primary colours. There’s even a ‘critter’ range, aptly named Jungletoes and Jungle Critters.

Trumpette Tights

The tights range is run alongside the same principle as the socks: bright, unique and including the same attention to detail and quality as you’ll find in the socks.

Although there aren’t as many different styles to choose from – and arguably many parents don’t clothe baby boys in tights – the range is still worth looking at, particularly if you have baby daughters.

Trumpette Shoes

The Trumpette footwear range is my favourite … and makes me wish I had a youngster in the family. The shoes pretty much cover all bases in terms of style – and weather. In the shoe range you’ll find:

  • Slippers
  • Miniature moccasins
  • Wellies
  • Jellies
  • Shoes
  • Sneakers

Once again, the styles are distinctive to the Trumpette branding and embrace the same features that you can expect from the product in general.

Trumpette Clothing

The clothing range revolves predominantly around hoodies, sweaters and pants. The Trumpette Onsie is still available and can be bought with a rather fetching little hat. You will find - as with the Trumpette range in general - that the clothes are very distinctive according to whether you're buying for a boy or a girl.

The company has recently released some new styles (across the Trumpette catalogue) and there are a couple of rather adorable new Tees, featuring ‘I love daddy’, as well as a rather fetching ‘dressed up’ version.

Trumpette Socks Online

There are plenty of online outlets, making the Trumpette collection easily available. I also noticed quite a few sales whilst writing this so no doubt there’s some bargains to be had. On the main website, there’s also a gift section, which included some delightful baby shower type gifts.

Currently, there’s a range of gift sets, rubber duckies, a rather cute baby rattle and my favourite – the birthday hat. However, I noticed that the hats are on backorder so if you want to treat a little boy or girl to a Trumpette birthday hat – now’s the time to buy one.

recently heard that trumpette has been bullying smaller players in the market place. While i think their goods are cute, i don't agree this business practice. Just untasteful.
