The Truth about Network Marketing

I've always been big on truth. It was something that was important to me as a child. When others thought it was okay to tell a lie, I balked and said, "No, just tell the truth." It mattered; it was the right thing to do.

If telling the truth was the right thing to do as a child, then it's the right thing to do as an adult. It's important to me when I'm talking to someone about my Network Marketing business; or my Direct Sales Opportunity, that they hear and know the truth. You have my word that I will always endeavor to be upfront and honest with you; it's who I am.

So let's talk about truth in Network Marketing and what that really means. First, a little bit about what Network Marketing is. Network Marketing is, by definition, a means of connecting with others in an effort to sell or promote a product or a particular method of advertising. If you look up the synonyms for Network, they are:

  • System
  • Net
  • Complex set-up
  • Set of connections
  • Arrangement
  • Association
  • Group
  • Set of contacts

If you look up the list of synonyms for Marketing they are:

  • Advertising
  • Promotion
  • Selling

Looking at it in this light, we can understand what we do in Network Marketing. We promote our products or opportunity to others. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well, it is. The problem of truth always comes into play when others unscrupulously distort a business plan or model for self gain. Unfortunately, that has happened for many years on the backs of Network Marketers. To that end, we have all been settled under the same umbrella of "scam".

In an effort to be completely truthful, it's important to know that those people are still out there. You'll see them pretty clearly. They'll offer you the "Pie in the Sky"..."Make Millions of Dollars" in a short period of time...You're smart enough to know that that just isn't true and most likely, is quite impossible. Don't be taken in by that type of thinking and behavior.

In an effort to reveal more truth in the distortions about Network Marketing, please take a look at Ann Siegs, The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. This revealing book has been the source of much debate in the Network Marketing world as it flies against the grain of "traditional" Network Marketing techniques and beliefs.

So let's see how to find a reputable, trustworthy Network Marketer. In the segment below, I'll give you my thoughts on this.

Finding a Network Marketer with Integrity

It's important when looking for a reputable Network Marketer that you don't leap at the first multi-million dollar claim or "bottom ground" opportunity. Usually, these "too good to be true" offers are just that, too good to be true...back away from those until you find out more about them and the people behind them.

I found, in my search, that an honest and upright Network Marketer is willing to answer questions about his/her marketing or business opportunity without hesitation. They make themselves available to you because they understand that for you to succeed in this business you're going to need help, encouragement, and education. Some of the finest training tools I've ever found have been offered through Renegade Pro. It begins at the Renegade University; you'll be thoroughly surprised at the FREE tutorials and education you'll have access to at Mike Klingler's U. After the initial training, you'll have an opportunity to become a part of Renegade Pro. When you listen to Mike's training, you'll hear a voice of integrity and truth. He truly wants to teach you what you need to know to succeed in this business.

On a personal note, I had a question to ask Mike the other day. I emailed him, truly not expecting a quick response or even a personal reply. Why? Because, I knew how busy he was and thought that it might be asking too much. But to my surprise, I received a complete reply to my email question and a request, from him, to keep him apprised of my progress. It may not sound like much to you, but to me it was a mark of honesty, truth, and integrity. He's the kind of individual I like doing business with. This is the kind of person you're looking for when trying to find a reputable businessman or woman.

I found Mike through another associate via the Attraction Marketing Manifesto. I trusted my associate because of past business dealings and because of her stellar reputation. So when she pointed me in this direction I had an open mind; I wanted to find a way to successfully market my Direct Sales Business. So, look to your friends in Direct Sales, or Network Marketing. They will steer you in a direction that they found honorable, then research the information they give you, and make a decision on whether the methods of training, support, and encouragement are what you're looking for. Often times our search begins with those right next to us.

The bottom line is, Network Marketing and truth can go hand in hand when you find the right opportunity and the right people. We are out there. We are just like you, wanting to build a business, a better life for our kids, and a better world to live in. You'll know us when you find us. We're here for you!

Collen,

Great information! It's very hard to find the truth on the Internet. Everyone trying to sell you something, however what Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler will and has completely changed the network marketing industry. You can learn that giving and teaching is much more valuable that selling.

Thanks,

John

There's some good advice here. Lots of people just aren't aware that they are approaching the MLM thing all wrong ...
