Creative Cooking

I thoroughly enjoy creating my own recipes. I just open my cupboards, and start having fun. It is important to decide what you have on hand will go together and wether it is something you think your crew will like. In this case, I like Tuna casserole but my children are not to crazy about it. They say it has no taste, is boring and doesn't fill you up. I saw a challange so I took it on.

On September 24, 1996 I created this recipe. It was an instant success. My family gobbled it right up. Now I want to share it with others.

TUNA SUPREME

INGREDIENTS:
1 box of Noodle Trio 8 oz. sour cream 1 can of tuna
1 can of cream of celery soup, 1 can of mushrooms, 2 cups crushed regular potato chips
1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables

1/8 TSP. onion powder & celery salt, 1 TBSP parsley    A sprinkle of Black seasoning

Cook noodles, drain and place in casserole dish
Open tuna, mushrooms, drain and place in casserole dish
Open soup, place in casserole dish
Sprinkle with onion powder, celery salt, parsley, and Black seasoning

Blend all ingredients together in casserole dish.

Sprinkle top with crushed potato chips. Cover with foil.

Refridgerate all day.

Place in oven at 350, bake for 1 hour and 15 min.

On The Side

In addition to the casserole, I also served a fresh salad, and blueberry muffins. The salad was the prepared bag you purchase at the grocery store, with sliced tomatoes, and croutons. The muffins were also from a box which I baked in the oven towards the end time of the casserole. I was determined to fill the family's stomachs.

My challenge had been met with smiles and compliments from my family and I was thrilled. They were also fully satisfied. Hooray!
