Tunecore Widgets Are Working

What is a widget? I hope you are not asking yourself that question right now, but if you are let me inform you on a widget before I let you know about Tunecore's widget. A widget is a way of sharing lots of content on various websites that you use.Widgets are installed several ways, but the most common way to share a widget is through gigya. Unfortunitely not every site will allow widgets to post, and it depends on the installation code. Installation Code? The Installation code is the HTML involved in pating the object to a site. Some sites allow java script some sites dont. Some sites allow flash some dont. Java? Flash? Ok let me stop right now cause Java & Flash subjects really do not belong in this Hub and that is an entire hub for each. So why should these codes concern you? Well for one you need to know what site you frequently use to promote your music. Luckly the Tunecore widget supports various sites, and they stayed away from java. Most sites dont allow Java HTML on their site because it is to powerful, and you really wanna know about css before you start messing around with Java.

So lets discuss more about this Tunecore widget. Another plus about the widget is that it can be easily shared with your fans. They did a decent job on the flash design, and I really like the originality they brought to the menu options. The menu options let you view the Album Linear notes, The Artists bio, Share options, and purchase options. The purchase options however link to iTunes only. When you are allowed to edit the widget they should give you an option on where you want to link the store to. However they do give you design options that are suitable for you to blend the colors to your site.

As a user of this Widget I found it very useful. It has increased a few sales, and allowed me to interact with the promotion of a music artist. Also with the sharing sites it has for options is more than what the twitter tweetcloud widget gives you, and that is because it is a Java Widget. So if you want to understand more about the differences between the types of widgets go igoogle for yourself or become a fan here, because I will cover these things later in a new hub.

Thanks for the kind words! We're still refining and improving the widget, but it's starting to grow up nicely.

Thanks again!
