TwitMasterClass Review
62I must admit when it comes to Twitter I'm a bit of a twit. I have no real idea of how to use it properly. I have around 700 or so followers, but I have never gone out of my way to pursue getting people to follow me because I couldn't really see the point. I usually just follow people who follow me because I read on some forum that was what I was supposed to. That's why I suspect that 699 of those people just followed me so I'll follow them (so they can send me their links everyday hoping I'll buy something). I haven't and I doubt I ever well.
However I do know that some marketers use Twitter very successfully. Many claim that it's a very quick way of making sales, especially if you are outside the Internet Marketing niche. So how do they do it.
Recently my friend Stuart Turnbull asked if I could review his latest eBook called Twitmasterclass so this post will be my observations and thoughts on his guide.
So let's get started.
Introduction:
We get to know a bit about Stuart and his internet marketing journey. His journey is very much like mine in that we both started trying to make money on eBay and then moved on to internet marketing, blogging and other forms of making money online.
He recognizes that Twitter is all about making a personal connection to your followers and that is how to build your relationship and therefore your business.
Chapter 1 - Things to Consider
In the first chapter you learn about the importance of laying your foundations. Stuart gives concrete steps on where you should send your potential twitter customers and what that page should look like. It's a really good overview and something I bet most people don't think about upfront.
Chapter 2 - How to Set up a Twitter Account
This chapter is fairly basic and nothing you probably couldn't have figured out yourself about setting your account up.
Chapter 3 - Building a Following
The third chapter goes into the nuts and bolts of building a following on Twitter, but not just by following any old person (which is what most people tell you) but how to specifically follow the RIGHT kind of people who are likely to be your potential customers. I really got some gold nuggets of information out of this chapter and I loved the story about one of his friends who used this method and made 10 sales within 24 hours of trying out these methods.
I'll definitely be trying this in the future.
Chapter 4 - Twitter it and They will Come
Chapter four talks about the types of tweets that you should be posting and how often you should be tweeting. This is one thing I've struggled with as a marketer - do I write about getting a cup of tea or do I talk about the latest eBook I'm promoting? This chapter gives also you some guidelines about building relationships with your followers.
Chapter 5 - Driving Them Crazy
Following on from the previous chapter, this goes into more depth about what to tweet and even the best time of day to tweet! I didn't even know there was a best time of day to send out messages - so there you go.
Chapter 6 - Just Don't Do It
You may have heard about people getting their Twitter accounts banned for various reasons. In this chapter Stuart goes over some of the things to avoid so you'll be perceived as a valued contributing member and not a spammer.
Chapter 7 - Tips and Tricks
Some tips and advanced tricks for gaining more traffic and why following your competition just might be the smartest marketing move you can make.
Chapter 8 - Twitter Tools
Stuart gives his top 8 tools for enhancing your twitter experience and saving time as well.
My overall thoughts:
If you are thinking of using Twitter in your marketing campaign and haven't had any success so far then it's definitely worth getting his guide for Chapter 3 alone (which I believe contains the most valuable information in the whole eBook).
The biggest key with marketing is finding the right people to market too and this chapter really goes over the secrets for getting the right people following you which I think is where most twitter marketers get it wrong.
Twitter definitely works, but only if you know the right way to use it - click here to check out Stuart's guide TwitMasterClass and see if it's right for you.
