As every marketeer knows, building a list is essential in business, no list is a fat chance to make money. It is a well known fact, now i guess we all tried things like traffic exchanges, safelists, forum marketing, blogging, and what's more to try. Now these methods still work, but all depends on what you promote, traffic exchanges aren't exactly the best place to promote affiliate products(altough it can work), you can rather use them for promoting things like ptc sites, that always works out great, safelists can be a great way as well, but frankly, most people won't even open your mail, peoples mailboxes gets filled every day with so called business oppertunity's.

So why bother to read these mails, Sounds familiar? Well i have treid them as well, now when such a safelist launches, there aren't many members yet, so then, you can have a great chance of making sales or extend your network, because of the fact, that there aren't to much mails coming in from that safelist, and you'll get noticed much easier.

Now, if you have a stunning splash page, and promote your page on these traffic generators, you can build your list for every single business model or niche you're in, but as said earlier there is a fat chance you'll make money with them.

So building a list is essential and these methods sure work. But luckely people are getting on the newest buzz, in the internet marketing jungle, with places like digg, stumbleupon, facebook, netlog, myspace and offcourse, to my sences twitter. Twitter is one of the best and easiest way to build your list in any market or niche you are working at. And you don't really need an autoresponder, altough it would still be great if you have one, it would extend your list even further, so you win 2 times.

Now let me tell you people who don't know twitter very well, how it works; You sign up for a free account at Http://www.twitter.com, and you can start twittering, about anything you want to, do you want to meet new people, make new friends?, Find a girlfriend(it should be possible), anyway, it is a great place to advertise your products as well, Fact is, the more tweets you make(tweets are posts on twitter), the more followers you'll get, and so the more potential customers you get for whatever you are selling.

Do you want to increase traffic to your blog, your website or fotos of your cat? place a small post on twitter and let the people know. Now to succeed in business, to make a whole bunch of sales, you'll need a whole lot of followers, now you probably think well yeah duuuhh. And that is what i try to make clear, you see all those guru marketeers say you need to spend ..$ for an autoresponder, you need your own website, your own product, or at least a product, and,... you know what i am talking about, well i found out that you don't really need all that stuff when using twitter.

Just tweet as much as you can, but do not spam the board, keep it clean, otherwise your chances of getting, hits, which results in sales will be nill, zero, nada, you get my point. Now the difference with facebook and myspace and such is that a tweet can only hold a certain amount of letters i believe its about, 140 letters per tweet, so you 'll need to keep it short, an other advantage is that when you post an affiliate url it will be automaticly cloaked, and people this is very important. Cause, nobody wants to lose his/hers afiliate commissions.

What's cloaking? it is altering your affilaite link, so your affiliate name cannot be deleted or changed. and very advisable for every thing you do, specially for those clickbank hoplinks, it can also be used to shorten those long, bas appealing url's, people don't tend to click those, and most of the time it reveals an affiliate product, while it can be more interesting to make it your own url, like this one www.fjegfejgzfkhejfh:ze.com/ref=?steffer, can become, www.stefferrecommends/letters.

Now make those on twitter and your list will grow rapidly, plus you will increase your credebility, and you buildyourself a name at the same time (branding).
