I thought I would never join Twitter, because I felt it was just a promotion site for celebrities and I pretty much know what my favorite celebrities are doing. It can make you feel like a stalker, because you are following their every tweet and when you comment, they don’t seem to know that you even exist. I am not a celebrity and not too many of my friends are on twitter. Who wanted to hear about my day? Absolutely nobody would be interested in what I was doing, or so I thought. Who are these people that are following me and why are they doing it. I had to answer that question myself. I don’t have any impure motives for following anybody on Twitter, so that’s why I’m flattered that anyone wants to follow me whatever the reason. Should I feel obligated to follow them as well? Is it crazy for me to want some of the celebrities that I follow to become one of my followers? That might be pushing it, but at least they could tweet me back, when I comment on their post. I say that, but I really do realize that they have thousands of followers and they would spend all day if they tried to reply to all of those fans. That is why Russell Simmons is my “Twitter Hero”. This is one busy man and you can’t get much more powerful than him. He has over 195,000 followers, but I have noticed that he often replies to us regular folks. Sometimes he endorses people that he feels is worthy of followers and I think that’s cool. Mary J Blige asked her fans to follow MissMandy88 and her followers more than doubled. Mandy told me that she was just like me, but I don’t have any twitter endorsements. Although her twitter page is blowing up, she still replies to my tweets and we are total strangers to each other. I saw how her numbers was rising daily and that’s when I realized that I had “Twitter Envy”. What is Twitter Envy? It’s a phrase that I coined after feeling inadequate, because no one would respond to my tweets. It’s a level of frustration due to you following more people than are following you. It is often felt when your favorite celebrities are replying to none celebrities and you can’t get a reply even if you typed in all CAPS. I decided to create this blog so that people with Twitter Envy could express their envy without ridicule. Then they can go back to tweeting without hostility. We don’t want any Twitter Stalkers here, just people who want to share their experiences with celebrities on Twitter. If you have noticed celebrities that reply often to regular folks we want their names. I really don’t want to criticize those who don’t reply, because they may only be on Twitter to keep their fans informed about their projects. That is why I will also inform you of the celebrities that I think are using Twitter as a PR tool, so that you won’t judge them unfairly. I want this blog to be a positive one and we can come together to strategize and not criticize. Twitter is a good forum and I want to get the best experience out of it that I can. I would love it, if celebrities would swing through with some Twitter Love. Help me turn my envy into enjoyment.

I’m sure that celebrities get Twitter Envy, but it’s a little different than that of the regular Twitter member. They probably envy the number of followers that their peers have. That’s why this is a good place for them to come and blog, because we want to follow people who really want us following them. We can give them hints on how to get more followers. I have a good suggestion. Why don’t they follow some of us regular folks and I guarantee you that the word would get out like a wild fire. Could you imagine someone with thousands of followers, following you? What a compliment. I can’t think of everything so I’m really counting on everybody to get in on the discussion. This is just the start for “Twitter Envy” and I’m banking on it being a tool for increasing your twitter appeal.

This is a list that I have compiled which will be updated as bloggers share their experiences with their favorite Celebrity Twitters (Twitter ID's are in bold print)

• Kim Kardashian (KimKardashian) This is one popular socialite and she is on the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s. I haven’t seen her reply too often to none celebrities, but she did thank (msnecole31) for buying her fitness video. Kim has more than 2,400,000 followers.
• Sean P Diddy Combs (iamdiddy) He admitted to being a “Twitter Addict”. He RT’s a lot, so that we can view some of his fans comments. He has also been known to make the day of some unsuspecting fan like (gypsiepixie). Diddy has more than 2,000,000 followers.
• Perez Hilton (PerezHilton) This famous celebrity blogger tweets mostly to celebrities. He did tweet (vnesofsc) but it’s not clear if he knows them or not. Perez has over 1,500,000 followers.
• Keri Hilson (MissKeriBaby) I love her music and she seems to love her “Twitter Family”. Even though she is friendly and replies all of the time she still surprises people like (teganleaaa) when she does. Keri has over 358,000 followers.
• Russell Simmons (UncleRush) He was my first celebrity reply and it happened on my first day of being on Twitter. I (przthomas), was just thanking him for his inspiration so when he replied, I was shocked. It was very gracious of him and he is the reason that I still tweet. He has more than 220,000 followers.
• Terrell Owens (terrellowens) I didn’t know him as a football player until I watched his reality TV show. He will tweet about football and the TO show, but I think he might slow down a little now that it’s football season. He is great with replies ask (mitamamidaone). Terrell Owens has over 210,000 followers.
• Mary J Blige (maryjblige) She often replies to her fans, but she’s better on some days than others. When she’s in promote mode she doesn’t reply, but she made a request for her fans to follow (MissMandy88) and this lady is a real sweetheart. She says she just like me, but I doubt it. Mary J has over 145,000 followers.
• Sherrie Sheppard (SherriESheppard) My favorite host on the view is one of the friendliest twitters out there, she even replied to (chiriru) when she corrected her about allowing her son, Jeffrey to call his penis a wee wee. I would have probably ignored that tweet because she does have more than 141,000 followers.
• Vanessa Simmons (V_Simmons) I love Daddy’s Girls and Run’s oldest daughter is so busy that I haven’t seen her tweet too much. She tweets with people that she knows and low and behold she found out that her and fan (Damien_Blk) knew someone in common. Vanessa has over 134,000 followers.
• Wendy Williams (WendyShow) This talk show host keeps you informed about her whereabouts and what’s coming up on her show. She does tweet with fans like (Kisha_F). Wendy has more than 98,000 followers.
• Kandi Burruss (KandiConnection) She is on The Real Housevives of Atlanta, but she used to be in the singing group Xscape and is now a solo artist. Her Fiance AJ Jewell died and her fans were so affected that her followers more than doubled. Even through the tragedy she finds time to tweet back to fans who are supporting her like (JoshuaRakestraw) Kandi has over 93,000 followers.
• Monica (MonicaMyLife) I love Monica as an artist, but I have a whole new love for how she tries to stay in touch with her fans. When I start interviewing celebrity twitters, she’s first on my list. It’s hard to know if she knows some of these people, because (jwhit214) tweets like they are friends. Monica has more than 83,000 followers.
• The Regis & Kelly Show (Regis_and_Kelly) Kelly is really the one that tweets and she keeps Regis updated. They often reply and RT so that we can see what fans are saying and (sno_bunny) was among the lucky ones to get one of those replies. The show has more than 83,000 followers.
• Brooke Hogan (BrookeHogan) She sings but I know her from her reality show Brooke Knows Best. I haven’t seen her replying much, but she did ask her fans to follow her brother (nickhogan4real) who is new to Twitter. Brook has more than 80,000 followers.
• NeNe Leakes (NeNeLeakes) She is on The Real Housewives Of ATL and she keeps it 100. She seems to have a few celebrity friends that she tweets with, but on occasion you can catch her replying to reality TV fans like (genitha). NeNe has more than 68,000 followers.
• Erykah Badu (fatbellybella) I’m not sure if she’s still doing her music thing, but I will always be a fan. I was glad to see that her account was verified because her tweets are off the chain. She will reply just ask (IRRCain). Ms Badu has more than 62,000 followers.
• Joseph Simmons (YoungSimmons) Rev Run’s oldest son seems to tweet about music mainly and post Global Grind links. He does seem to reply to the ladies like (Amber_Nikole). Joe Joe has more than 56,000 followers.
• Chrisette Michele (epiphanygirl) This Grammy Award winning songbird keeps her fans abreast of her movement. She tweets with her peers, but she is great at taking out time for her fans like (JayBbyDaBarbie). Chrisette has over 55,000 followers.
• Antonia “Toya” Carter (antoniacarter) She is the ex-wife of Lil Wayne and just finished her first season of the Tiny & Toya Show, She tweets in spurts and it’s hard to know if she is replying to family or fans, but I guess we can ask (Souljagirlfefe). Toya has over 53,000 followers.
• Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (TinyMajorMama) Tiny is the other half of the Tiny and Toya Show. She has made it clear that she doesn’t tweet that much, but she is trying to do better. People love to hate her, I guess it’s because she has that sexy man Tip. She thanks those who send positive post like (stickybutsweet). Tiny has more than 50,000 followers.
• Ricky Smiley (RickySmiley) He is one of my favorite comedians and he says that he does not have “Twitter Envy”. He replies to his fans and is so engaged that he makes the fans feel like they really know him and that doesn’t take much for a twitter star like fan (MzStarrBurst). Ricky Smiley has more than 48,000 followers.
• Laurieann Gibson (BoomKack) This sassy choreographer doesn’t skip a beat when it comes to her tweeting. She is like the friend that you grew up with. She sent a tweet to (missfoxy2). Laurieann has more than 46,000 followers.
• Meagan Good (MeaganGood) She is an actress who seems to connect with her fans. She lets them in on her struggles and faith. When she replies she often makes the day of fans like (Masheekia) Meagan has over 31,000 followers.
• Lisa Hartwell (LisaWuHartwell) She has been referred to as the energizer bunny on the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, because that’s not her only gig. She has her hands in everything. Now that she is on Twitter she learned about Redbox from replying to (karlajoy). Lisa has more than 27,000 followers.
• Kim Zolciak (Kimzolciak) Kim is best known as the white girl on the Real Housewives Of ATL. Without big papa’s help Kim has been able to secure a good fan base. (kaysaibu) is not the only fan who has received a reply from her and she replies often. Kim has more than 27,000 followers.
• Jessica Brown (imJessBnreal) This is Vanessa & Angela Simmons’ cousin and she is on the reality show Daddy’s Girls. She may actually know (hrd2lv) but it’s had to tell because she is so personable. Jess has over 27,000 followers.
• Sheree Whitfield (IamSheree) Another ATL Housewife that made my list of favorites. Sheree does not tweet as much as her counterparts so it’s hard to say just how much she replies, but (VanillaDelight) was able to get her to answer a question that she posed. Sheree has over 23,000 followers.
• Dwight Eubanks (dwighteubanks) He is the honorary Atlanta Housewife and friend of NeNe Leakes. He’s a social butterfly and he tweeted with (griffconti) who met him one night. Dwight has more than 10,000 followers.
• Kiesha “Babi” Miles (kieshababi) She used to be in the group Xscape, but has recently appeared on the Tiny & Toya reality TV show. She is really down to earth and someone who is becoming my friend. She gave industry advice to (sexyladydred). Kiesha has more than 8,300 followers.
• Rasheeda (RASHEEDAGAPEACH) If you love music you have to like this Georgia Peach. You may know her from the song Bubble Gum and if you are on Twitter this is the lady to follow. She’s down to earth and always thanks her fans for their replies like (Peteyville). Rasheeda has more than 8,000 followers.
• LisaRaye McCoy (TheRealLRaye) This actress is probably best know for playing Diamond in the movie Player’s Club, but she has done so much more. She is new to twitter, so I expect her followers to rise quickly. Hopefully when it does she will continue to reply to people like (insanesick). LisaRaye has more than 8,000 followers.
• Yvette Nicole Brown (yvettenbrown) You may know her from the many commercials that she has done, but she just landed a break-out role on the new television show “Community”. She confirmed her ID to (Christian81209). It won’t be long before her follower count rises. She now has over 4,800 followers.
• Phaedra Parks (PhaedraParks) This sassy little Atlanta attorney has been seen on the Tiny & Toya show and the reality is that she is real. She RT’s and then replies to fans like (ChiCityJessica).  Ms. Parks has more than 2,650 followers.
• Stephanie Burrell (StephanieHammer) She is MC Hammer’s wife and is on the Hammertime reality show. She is super nice and she thanked everyone who sent her birthday wishes like (sriddle77). Stephanie has over 2,000 followers.
• Cheryl Zachery (meccadawn) I must admit that this is my niece, and she is off the chain with her musical talent. She has been grinding for a minute and she has built herself a nice following already. She has over 1,100 followers and if you go to her myspace or facebook page you can hear her music. I’m her #1 fan, for real.
• Don Vito (DonVitoXL) He’s the Atlanta producer that made Tardy For The Party hot and he tweets often. I have seen him tweet to fans like (NatalieRojas06). Don Vito has more than 1,100 followers.
• JoiaMercedes (JoiaMercedes) She is a celebrity hair & make-up artist, I think she just moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, but she has been really cool whenever I have replied to her post. Although she has less than 1,000 followers I’m sure that her twitter page will be blowing up as people find out that she’s on Twitter. I ain’t mad at her.
• Dominique (Sickle1000) This young lady was one of my followers. I have sickle cell anemia and she reached out to me the first day I signed on, because I tweeted about being in a sickle cell crisis. She has less than 100 followers, but she’s doing things with sickle cell awareness and is somebody worth following.

I wanted to include this list of celebrities because many of them will never reply and their Twitter accounts were nor created for that. It's just a tool that they use to keep their fans updated. If I have misidentified someone on this list please be sure to correct me. I have placed them on this list after reviewing their tweets day after day.

• Rev Run – Joseph Simmons (RevRunWisdom) His tweets are very inspiring and it is truly a page where you can go to have wisdom enter your being. But don’t count on any replies.  I understand his Twitter use and if you are just a celebrity hound stay away. He has over 335,000 followers.
• Joy Behar (JoyVBehar) She is one of the host of the View and I love her sense of humor.  She keeps her fans informed and replies to peers and other people that she knows, but I haven’t found any fan tweets coming from her.  Joy has over 127,000 followers.
• Bethenny Frankel (Bethenny) She is one of my favorites on The Real Housewives Of NYC and has put the skinny girl margarita on the map.  She tweets often and she might use twitter mainly for PR.  When I asked her if she replies to fans, she sent me a DM. If she responding she is doing it privately, so that her page stays clean (I’m guessing) Bethenny has over 75,000 followers.

There are all sorts of businesses that are on Twitter and they are making sure that they stay on the consumers mind.  You can catch twitter deals and even get feedback from small businesses and large corporations alike.  I know that I want to shop at places, where the owner understands the need to get up close and personal.  The companies on this list may have been listed elsewhere in this blog, because they are business owners and may not have a separate company ID.  If you know of a wonderful enterprise that’s trying to keep their ears to the street by joining Twitter, we want to here about them. 

·       Magic City Strip Club (Magiccityatl) If you know anything about strip clubs, you know that Magic City is located in Atlanta, GA, but is known all over the United States. You can expect some crazy tweets from here and you will get some.  Magic City has more than 4,500 followers.

·       The Glam Bar (GlamBarSalon) This is popular beauty salon located in Atlanta, GA. They frequently tweet their daily specials and answer customer questions.  Glam Bar Salon has more than 1,000 followers.

·       Fusion Bar & Grill  (FUSIONBARGA) They are a new night spot located in Carrollton, GA and the verdict is still out on their purpose for being on Twitter so keep your eyes on them. Fusion Bar has less than 25 followers.
