We had all witness the power of Twitter.  However, Twitter is still make technology headways.  Just a few days along, Google search was down.  I though something was wrong with my computer until I checked twitter search and found out that Google was having a massive outage.  Today, I learned that Twitter was used to help a woman having a seizure in Atlanta. 

Kwanza Hall, a councilman in Atlanta was on his way home when he came to the aid of a women having a seizure.  Other people trying to help tried placing a call in to 911.  However, recent reports have reported problems with getting thought to 911 in Atlanta.  So, fast thinking Kwanza Hall grab is cell phone a tweeted the "help message" to 1,849 of his followers.  His tweet contained his location and "Need Paramedics". 

Kwanza Hall plans to create the twitter username @911Atl for future use by Atlanta residents. 

• When the double deck bus incident happen in London.  Many survivors tweeted message to their love ones "I'm Ok".
• When the San Francisco Bay area suffered a major broadband outage, AT&T used twitter to update its customers.

1. What other emergency usage for Twitter can you think of?
2. How can your city of town use Twitter's technology better?
3. How can you use Twitter in your home?
4. Should there be an @911(your city)?

These are all questions that we will be asking ourselves about Twitter use in the future.
