Twitter Review
63Twitter Away! Communicate and Stay Connected.
Today, I'd like to talk about how Twitter can help your network marketing strategy. Like a lot of people I've met online, I didn't understand the appeal of Twitter at first - at all. Why would I want to know what everyone's doing all day?
But with a little help from my network marketing mentors - Chuck Bartok and Mike Klingler - and a little more observation; one day it all clicked for me. So, I wanted to write about what I've discovered, in the hopes of getting you hooked on Twitter, too! I've got lots to tell, so let's jump right in.
Twitter is a free social networking site. When you sign up, you're able to post messages that basically answer the question, "What are you doing?" Your profile includes a short bio, a photo and a link to your website.
You can then "follow" other people, who are added to an updated list on your Twitter home page. They also have the option of following you, too, and you can "reply" to what others have said by adding new posts on your own Twitter, which they can see on their own home pages.
Here is where the addiction starts!
You can search for users to follow using Twitter's search bar - just enter keywords or phrases and you'll get a list of people whose bio or other information includes those words. You can get to know people with your same interests and see what they're up to during the day!
There are many plug-ins available that you can install on your Internet browser, so you can surf the web, work on your site or answer emails while checking on Tweets in real time.
Sites like Twitterfeed can help you streamline your link strategy - you can update your Twitter automatically with the push of a button anytime you post a new blog entry or update your website. And with sites like TinyURL, you can cut down on long links and say what you need to as well!
But more importantly, you can develop real relationships with your fellow Tweets by letting them see you're a real person who's not out to sell and network all the time - a big advantage once you get your downline and contacts to follow you on Twitter.
It's not just all about network marketing - post links to your favorite recipes, talk about your day, direct people to thought-provoking articles on any subject - Twitter is your chance to show everyone in the network marketing community that there's more to you than a squeeze page!
I've found some great contacts from around the world who have opened my eyes to how network marketing works - and I've enjoyed every Tweet!

Cindy,
What a well stated description of the "hottest" thing on the net.For those who appreciate and are seriously dedicated to growing Businesses through relationship marketing Twitter is a natural.
But like all well designed tools, it must be used properly.
My friend Rick Butts has put together an outstanding Live video memebrship site on HOW to optimize Twitter wiht other Social networking Sites.
If anyone is interested have them look at:

I have capitlalized on this information quickly
I have been enjoying using Twitter search to see what people are saying using some keywords. That's been helpful. Also Twitter100 is interesting where you can read what 100 of your friends are saying at one time. Amazing. Good job, Cindy
Judy
Thank you, Judy! Wow. Twitter 100 sounds cool. I must check it out!

This is a very well written Hub.
I truly don't like Twitter. But I use it, because it gets a lot of 'pres' lately and every good marketer should be using the most popular tools to reach the most popular people.
I blog about Socially Responsible companies...so my feeling is the more people I can reach out to, the better a chance of more 'good' being done in the world. A neccessary evil, I suppose.
It's not the app I don't like...it's the inane "Tweets" that most people share. This is why I altogether got away from MySpace.
Maybe I'm over critical. Find me on Twitter (Defmall) and we can follow each other!
