Everybody is talking about Twitter today and internet marketers are realizing its importance as an internet marketing tool. On this hub I would like to discuss twitter tips for more effective twitter marketing with you. 1. Get as Many Followers as Possible

One of the most important Twitter tips you will receive is to get as many followers as possible. Ok, this may be self-evident but how do you go about getting Twitter followers? One way is to follow as many people as possible and hopefully some of them will follow you back. Another tool I have really found helpful in this regard is Viral Followers. Viral Followers virally builds your list of followers and works excellently.

2. Tweet Regularly

If you want success in your Twitter marketing then you need to tweet regularly. I actually closed down my Twitter account and opened a new one because I felt it was easier to start afresh than to try and redeem myself from lack of tweeting regularly. Believe me I understand that there are things which can stop us tweeting, sometimes for quite a long time, but at least begin with a desire to tweet regularly and if situations do occur then try to get back as quickly as possible (or you may need to do what I did by starting again).

3. Use Twitter Tools

There are dozens of Twitter tools available on the internet and you probably don’t want to use all of them but there are still some that can be very useful and make your Twitter marketing more effective. Some that I have found useful are:

Social Oomph: Social Oomph allows you to automatically follow, unfollow and message followers. It also enables you to schedule tweets and do a number of other useful activities. It is definitely a ‘must have’ when it comes to Twitter marketing.

Twitter Toolbar: The Twitter Tools toolbar is a toolbar for Internet Explorer or Firefox that gives easy access to a number of other Twitter tools and is great to have.

4. Promote Your Twitter Page

This relates to our first point – you want as many followers as possible- because obviously by promoting your Twitter page on your other social profiles, on your blog, on your website and anywhere else you can you will attract more followers who are interested in what you have to offer.

5. Get the Balance

Don’t always use your tweets to hard sell or you will lose followers as quickly (or quicker) than you gain them. Instead get the balance between friendly tweets and those that promote something.
