Twitter - Internet Network Marketers are TwitterPated

Twitterpating for Twitter
Twitter is a free micro blogging service that allows users to send updates to those people that follow them. Simply create an account and begin providing your Twitter web link.
Twitter is another social media networking tool, especially for online network marketers who want to increase their "point of contact" with their audience, create a larger following and, if using the attraction marketing method, it's another way to brand oneself.
Twitter updates are displayed on the the user's profile page. These updates are delivered to those who signed up to receive them.
With new varieties of social media gaining momentum, it's important to keep in mind the goal, or purpose of social media, web 2.0, especially for online marketers. It's main focus is to build an online community of people who share many of the same interests and activities, or who are interested in following the interests and activities of others.
Twitter is unique because it allows users to send text-based updates, known as "Tweets" to one's followers. It's also known as micro-blogging.
Why Is this Important for Internet Network Marketers?
Imagine if you didn't have to attend the toast masters meetings, or the BNI group. Imagine if you could do all your networking right from your home computer. Twitter offers this kind of networking reach.
If you are building your business using a new network marketing model called attraction marketing this is yet another way for people to have instant access to your value-based content.
The high-touch that Twitter offers further enables trustworthiness, which is the first step in building any business. If trust is built, it is easier to put offers in front of one's audience.
Another benefit would be the better opportunity for locating (or being located) high quality prospects so you can generate more leads and sales. Twitter is another tremendous and powerful tool to master and use to build a growing audience (which can be compared to one's list).
Twitter for Internet Network Marketers - When Is the Right Time?
Twitter could be endemic of what is curtailing many online dreams of success. With so many distractions and online noise, it's important to build a foundation of content, and fully understand how to offer value.
To do this, internet network marketers must have a "game plan," an approach or understanding of the internet marketing hierarchy. Adding too much to one's internet marketing plate can keep people from building their business. It's certainly a fine line that every marketer must have drawn for themselves prior to making the leap into Twitter (or any new thing) simply because the next big name has.
The shortest distance between two points will always be a straight line. For internet network marketers still in the process of learning and discovering those lines, more harm than good can be done by joining Twitter - or whatever social marketing craze the "Top Teachers" are promoting too soon before having built a proper foundation of attraction.
Internet Network Marketers Don't Wait Too Long to Join Twitter
Harnessing the power of Twitter, and riding the wave of Twitter's popularity is something to utilize sooner than later.
I had reached that point in my own internet marketing maturity where I was ready to take the next step and begin expanding my marketing reach. Twitter was a logicial choice.
Twitter is fun, and in only 24 hours, I had 80 followers. I didn't post any links or pitch my business, I just observed, and I began following internet network marketing friends, and people whom I respect, or want to know more about.
I can see how this is going to help me build my business by extending my marketing reach to more people. It's a tremendous marketing tool.

Irene, hello and thank you for your contribution. That is an excellent video and I recommend it to people who want a nuts & bolts understanding of Twitter.

Eric,
Another great article. I agree completely with what you're saying. Sites like Twitter are better once a person has a following. Sure you can send it to your address book, but this is a tool that is better utilized once people are already finding your content online.
Great work.

Nice Explanation. I am getting so many visits through Twitter.
Eric, I'm kinda new to Twitter, and have not tried marketing with it yet, but your Hub is an encouragement for me to do so.
Hi Eric,
Your points are well taken, however, I will say this..it doesn' get much easier than Twitter. In fact, while reading your Hubpage, in my browser address bar is a way to post where I am. In otherwords, I had the address of your Hubpage in my addres bar. I added to it in the same bar..Check out Erics Hubpage and clicked a button and voila. There you are all over Twitter.
It only takes a few minutes to set up and is easy to use. To be honest, I find it a lot easier than Facebook.
You'll be surprised how many people begin to follow you.
Another well put together and thought out Hubpage.

Deborah,
Your comments are well taken, and points quite compelling. Thank you. I will find my way to Twitter soon. And when I do, I am going to follow you because I know you are good.

Hah TwitterPated, isn't that from Bambi? LOL, This was an awesome hub! I love twitter and have been using it more and more. Mike Dillard and I like the idea of being able to get info to you quicker, up to the minute. REAL TIME.
Thanks for sharing this! Johni
Focus - the key to effectiveness. I see a lot of misunderstanding of the use of Twitter out there. e.g. Who REALLY wants to know you've just put the kids to bed? Or... that it's raining, unless that fact relates to something a bit more newsworthy
Thanks for your reminder to focus.
Hi i'm a tweeter - it's a good way to let people know what you are up to, like an instant messaging/ alert service execpt you have 1000's of contacts (I'm nearly up to my first thousand) the idea is to just tweet about articles you are reading or "I just did a blog" what your eating, where your going, like a staus update - but nothing you wouldn't say to someone's face! and add a link to article or blog so that curious tweeters can click on it - people will unfollow if you just posts link after link like a robot - it's like relationship marketing - you communicate with others/reply to posters rather than just broadcast out - you are welcome to follow my tweets and I'll follow yours :-) http://www.twitter.com/lemonknickers
Hi Zara, I've never really heard anyone explain it like that...and that sounds like a lot of fun. I think I'm getting to the point now where I can manage something like Twitter.
At first when I was just getting started, I overwhelmed with something new like Twitter and swore to stay away from it. Now, I'm feeling ready. I will return to update this hub when I do.
Thanks for coming around.
Eric
I joined - finally - and it's awesome. Join me on Twitter. Http://Twitter.com/EricWalker
I understand the power of Twitter, while I got in one day 32,000.00 followers.
I'm surprised the video being removed by the user.
I wonder why?
