Build Your Brand with Twittylinks, now called Hotwall.

Twitter has so far been a way to post notes, to post url's, and to post videos. There really has not been a classy way for you to post your Twitter home information on the tweets that you have made. But that is history, and an exciting new Twitter application will allow you to post the url in a Tweet as well as your brand, ie your avatar or picture, and your homepage link directly from your Twitter profile. Is that cool or what?

So, this is a brand builder. No longer do you have to be famous, at the top of the pile, at the apex of Twitterdom in order to have real presence and personality on Twitter. This tool levels the playing field, and along with the other tools allows a real impact from anyone who wants to tweet. So, when you Tweet a url using Twittylinks, you send the whole package.

What opens up for the Tweeple who open the url is:

1. the website of your tweet and

2. a black temporary toolbar above the webpage. This toolbar has your information from your home page, ie. your Twitter picture, and link to the url you included in your profile.

One word of caution in using the site: Do not have your computer set on any zoom level above 100%. If you set the zoom level, say, to 125% you will only see 1/2 of the Tweet box. You will not be able to see the two buttons. One button is to send the message as an email, and the other button is to send a tweet. Isn't that cool for brand building? I think so.

One great feature is that you can see the number of clicks on your tweets. It is a running total, so if you send a bunch of tweets without any clicks you may want to change your ads or urls being sent.

In order to make the system work without opening two windows just bookmark the little birdy on the right by rightclicking or bookmark it. When you come to a page you like this javascript will put you in the right place.

Anyway, after you have rushed over to the site be sure to come back to check out the other Twitterapps that I have discovered. Well, it isn't like Columbus discovering America or anything. But still, they are worth looking at!

Will You Be Using Twittylinks?

Will You Be Losing Twittylinks?

  • Yes I want to be famous on Twitter
  • No I want to continue to wallow in anonymity. (JUST KIDDING)
  • I am not a Twerson (Twitter Person)

You may get some notoriety even without being interested in it. But my poll is just joking around. I was really interested if people were going to use the service or not. Thanks for stopping by.
