Two Eggs and Toast

Life is what you make it.

Had an epiphany this morning while making breakfast. I had two eggs over easy, toast and sausage. My wife had french toast and sausage. Interesting I thought We both started with exactly the same ingredients, two eggs, two pieces of bread and 2 sausage patties. What we each produced was totally different from the other.

This made me think. Life is alot that way. Two people can have the exact same skills, talents, resources, etc and yet have two totally unique outcomes. It just depends on what you do with what you have. We have more than we can ever use. There is no shortage of abundance in this country. There is a shortage of imagination and creativity. In the Air Force we had a saying, "one man's landing is another man's crash". The end result was the same. They both ended up on the ground. It's how they got there that mattered.

As the Holiday season is now upon us, take an inventory of what you have. Don't take an inventory of what you need because all you get from that is more need. Learn how to combine your skill and talents, maybe in a different way than you ever have before. Believe in a way that you never have before. Believe in possibilities and combinations of possibilities.

One more thing, this Holiday, if you have hurt someone in some way or wronged them this past year, apologize. They may not accept it. That's their problem. If you have been wronged or hurt by someone, forgive them. It is the beginning of healing.

So what's it gonna be? French toast or Eggs over easy? You are the master chef of your own life. Bon Appetite!

Thanks for indulging me. DrJim

Nice one Dr Jim! It's always good to walk on the sunny side of the street. We all have a choice about our path in life, and even those that are burdened by life's expectations can find away to cope if they adopt a positive attitude. It's not what you have that counts, so much as what you do with it!
