You have two wonderful and adorable kids. One's a boy and the other's a girl, they are both your kids and they have to stay in one room. So, how do you keep them happy and keep yourself sane without having either of them grumble and complain about living in the same room?

What's in a room? A place you can unburden and just be yourself, right? Well, that's what your kids are looking for, and the secret to providing this for them is giving them their own space. Well a sure thing about creating space is about creating a unique identity for each sibling. The secret is in creating something special for each sibling and making them feel they have their 'space'. Boys will be boys, and girl, will be girls. You certainly need lots of advice on conflict resolution amongst siblings that share a room, but all that can be taken care of by following these procedures:

Work space can be created to suit your siblings' needs. You could create reading tables against walls and a universal unit to store things toys, books. Depending on the size of the room and the space that is available, this can be worked out. Space for clothes can be provided. A good way is by getting a roller storage that can be conveniently rolled under their beds and rolled out when the need arises.

Getting people to live in the same space, is never easy - a roommate, a flat mate, a spouse, or a colleague at work, but this can actually teach your children to build skills that would help them. Having two siblings in the same room can actually be a fun process, and can be done quite easily. Apply these simple steps and watch wonders begin. Who knows maybe your kids will finally get along for a few minutes.

Divisions work wonders and there's nothing like having a portion that one can lay claim to. Division includes giving each sibling a bed, and a workspace. You could use folding screens to decoratively make divisions distinct. There are lots of cheap and inexpensive dividers that can be purchased online.  Bunk beds can be used in this quest for division. Bunk beds can be lots of fun, and is a great way to save space and funds.

 It's difficult to get siblings to agree on anything, agreeing on a color scheme for the room could be almost impossible. Who says the room has to have only one color scheme? The first step is in asking each sibling to come up with a color for their space.  Get your children to work with colors, give them responsibility like letting them choose their beddings, their curtains and area rugs. If they wish to choose a bright yellow area rug - let it be their choice. You could make this alot of fun for them, so much so that they enjoy the process of decorating their room together.  They could also customize their space by putting up pictures on their side of the room and their favorite posters.
