Long distance dating is difficult for some people since they want the assurance of physical presence.  Seeing is believing for many people.  They want to see the love in the eyes of their dates.  Long distance dating cannot provide this kind of physical contact.

Some people enjoy long distance dating because long distance dating makes them appreciate each other more.  Some people fully appreciate each other only when they are world apart, and cannot let the small gestures irritate each other.

Speed dating is always arranges by an agency or a third party. The dating agency will gather many women and men together.

It is impossible to ask about opinions. The questions asked in speed dating usually are jobs, hobbies and other neutral topics. It is impossible to use two minutes to ask opinions about democracy and communism.
