Types of telescope

There are mainly two types of opticle telescope.

1. Refractor.

2. Reflector.

1.In refractor telescope there are simple arrangement of lenses.

At the one end of tube convex lens is fitted.now combination of lenses is used called acromatic lens.and at the other end eyepiece is placed at focal point of main lens.

Advantages - 1. Easy to handle

2. Low maintenace.

3. Easy to mave.

4. No adjectment is required for any time.

Disadvantages 1. Higher size limit is very low.

2.Absorb light so that effect on image brightness

2.Reflector

- Reflector having complex structure than refractor. At the one end of the tube concave mirror is fitted and at the other end flat mirrer fitted with inclined 45 degrees. concave mirrer reflects light on flat mirrer. then mangnified by eyepiece.

Advantages

1. No limit for size largest telescope is 10 m in dimeter .

2. God image quality and brightness.

Disadvantages -1. Not easy to move.

2.Regular maimtenance is required.

I used Refractor for sky viewing.

I was just about to write a post on this stuff. I'll still write it, but not the same way. Your post was very good. Would you mind if I refered people to yours from mine?
