UFO

No, never saw one ....

....been seeing allot of them on Youtube lately. I admit, psssss, over here by the potted palm ....I have given the matter much, much thought, and, get this, even without visual, eyeball to spaceship, proof, and, after speculation, long before Youtube, I've become comfortable with the idea. Yes, comfortable. At Least as comfortable as I can get, until I actually see one.

Most of what I saw on the You-Toob was a bit blurry, making their premise out of focus and vague for those of the mass public, like myself, who have a heck of a time getting past the ‘science fiction mode,’ in this situation. We can’t fully grasp it, and when the time came; our hand would no doubt reach for the TV remote, in the woods, to either try to change the channel, or just turn it off entirely. But most, I can truly understand, would turn, hold their pants, and flee for their lives with enough adrenaline in them to power an army.

Roswell News Clipping

To the few, the proud, and the brave ....

.... my hat goes off to you. And happy, down deep, that you were singled out from the masses of disbelief. Now you poor folks have to carry it, and convince your loved ones you haven’t blown a fuse. And to those fewer still who had the “eyeball to ‘eyeball’ experience, might as well hang it up with the convincing techniques. I figure, if they can’t see the fear that washed your face white, not to mention soiling your pants, it would be better just to deny it altogether. Or tell them you were smoken somethin or bumped your head, or hell .... both!

For me, I would have no qualms with them, or rather ‘Them,’ if they want to land in my back yard instead of the President's. The reception would be allot more hospitable, I'll give them that. And if it was in the morning, I could call in sick, the space dudes 'opportunity' would certainly out-weigh my day job. As long as they don’t bother the farmers cows back there. Don’t hurt them, thats where I get my milk. But they are welcome to do a few crop-circles back there if they like. Never saw those first hand either, but anybody who creates them in a single night certainly has my attention, however. And my attention, talking of which, will be as undivided as it’s ever been in my life; if, or maybe I should say 'when,' that day arrives. The day that will change all days for all time. (or they could have been here already)

do aliens TWITTER ?

UFO? ...no, no, it's a Weather Balloon

Photo analysis; documentaries; new claims

UFO researcher David Rudiak, and others before him, claimed that a Telegram which appears in one of the 1947 photos of balloon debris in Ramey's office contains text that confirms that bodies and a "disc" were recovered. Rudiak and some other examiners claim that when enlarged, the text on the paper General Ramey is holding in his hand includes key phrases "the victims of the wreck" and "in/on the 'disc'" plus other phrases seemingly in the context of a crashed vehicle recovery.[43] However, pro-UFO interpretations of this document are disputed by independent photoanalyses (facilitated by researcher James Houran, Ph.D.) that show the letters and words are indistinct.[44]

On the other hand, or possibly I should say plate ....

.... as in “pass me the chicken ‘divan,” what if they arn’t friendly? And suddenly us humans arn’t at the top of the food chain any longer. The once great hunter of old just became the hunted of the new world order. Wonder if that would be reason to call an emergency press conference at the white house? I know that would be good reason not to go to work that day, and I wouldn't even have to call in. There wouldn't be an answer anyway. No one in their right mind would go to work after reaching that fateful conclusion, and the one's that do go deserve to be food. Because that's the morning, whether we decide to except it or not, that we all start our new job. The unemployment rate would plummet in this horrific case. Our new job, no, our new 'career' would be a better word. It would certainly be more meaningful than we could ever imagine. We'd be our own boss with this unique opportunity. There would be no selling, no products and no inventory. Yes, we'd be self employed. As self employed as we could ever get. Like when we used to live in a cave, and it wasn't from nine to five either, my fellow homo-sapien. We clocked-in for this days work when our eyes opened; that is, if they opened for us that day. Like then, our new job would occupy us constantly; just think, we'd be in charge of saving our own pork-chops, again.

But seriously I don't think so

.... finding and getting to our speck of dust in the endless space of galaxies takes too much smarts. They are too intelligent to merely eat us, I think. If they wanted to do just that and thought we were so finger licken good, they would have started a long time ago. The way I see it, though, I haven't seen 'it', and I don't call Youtube really seeing 'it', is; is that they have been and continue to be here, but it was the accident in Roswell New Mexico that changed their plans. And it changed ours. If they hadn't had their 'one small step, or accident, for alien kind ...' moment we'd still be lost in 'Neanderthal land'. And ofcourse it was an accident. Of Course they would know what their getting into, or landing into. Of course they would know us, no us inside out, no us better than we do, that's why it was an accident that night. There was no intention to land, goodness no. That would be too dangerous, we're crazy here. That was the accident that changed their lives forever, as well as ours. Left the boogie man out of the bag, as it were.

I know, I know, I can hear you now: "But you don't really know!"

That is true, I didn't know, but for me and my conclusion of the whole matter, what really caused me to think more to the side of them existing beyond the reasonable doubt, than not; is when the government denied it the second time around. That gave me some pause and turned on my head lights.

Air Force reports on the Roswell UFO incident

Main article: Air Force reports on the Roswell UFO incident

In the mid-1990s, the United States Air Force issued two reports which, they said, accounted for the debris found and reported on in 1947, and which also accounted for the later reports of alien recoveries. The reports identified the debris as coming from a top secret government experiment called Project Mogul, which tested the feasibility of detecting Soviet nuclear tests and ballistic missiles with equipment on high-altitude balloons. Accounts of aliens were explained as resulting from misidentified military experiments which used anthropomorphic dummies, accidents involving injured or killed military personnel, and hoaxes perpetrated by various witnesses and UFO proponents.

----

For me this sealed the envelope. I figure; when a government agency denies something, I become more interested. When it denies it twice, or more if needed, and the reasons are as far fetched as the first time around as they were in 1947; I'm left with little doubt. But hey, what am I to do but fantasize. And as my boss said, "they aint here now. Lets get back to work, dude."

In 2002, the Sci-Fi Channel sponsored a dig at the Brazel site

.... in the hopes of uncovering any missed debris that the military failed to collect. Although these results have so far turned out to be negative, the University of New Mexico archaeological team did verify recent soil disruption at the exact location that some witnesses said they saw a long, linear impact groove. Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who headed the United States Department of Energy under President Clinton, apparently found the results provocative. In 2004, he wrote in a foreword to The Roswell Dig Diaries, that "the mystery surrounding this crash has never been adequately explained—not by independent investigators, and not by the U.S. government."

On October 26, 2007, Richardson (at the time a candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for U.S. President) elaborated when he was asked about releasing government files on Roswell. Richardson responded that when he was a Congressman, he attempted to get information on behalf of his New Mexico constituents, but was told by both the Department of Defense and Los Alamos Labs that the information was classified. "That ticked me off," he said "The government doesn't tell the truth as much as it should on a lot of issues." He promised to work on opening the files if he were elected as President.[45][46][

The Mysterious Life and Death
of Philip Schneider

By Tim Swartz with assistance from Cynthia Drayer

Al Pratt suspected something was wrong with his friend Philip Schneider. For several days in a row, Al had gone to Phil's apartment, in Willsonville, Oregon, saw his car in the parking lot, but received no answer at the door. Finally, on January 17th, 1996, Al Pratt, along with the manager of the Autumn Park Apartments and a detective from the Clackamas County Sheriff's office entered the apartment. Inside, they found the body of Philip Schneider. Apparently he had been dead for five to seven days. The Clackamas County Coroner's office initially attributed Philip Schneider's death to a stroke. However, in the following days disturbing details about his death began to surface, leading some to believe that Philip Schneider had not died from a stroke, but had in fact been murdered.

Philip Schneider's life was certainly as controversial as his death. He was born on April 23, 1947 at Bethesda Navy Hospital. Philip's parents were Oscar and Sally Schneider. Oscar Schneider was a Captain in the United States Navy, worked in nuclear medicine and helped design the first nuclear submarines. Captain Schneider was also part of OPERATION CROSSROADS, which was responsible for the testing of nuclear weapons in the Pacific AT Bikini Island. In a lecture videotaped in May 1996, Philip Schneider claimed that his father, Captain Oscar Schneider, was also involved with the infamous "Philadelphia Experiment." In addition, Philip claimed to be an ex-government structural engineer who was involved in building underground military bases (DUMB) around the country, and to be one of only three people to survive the 1979 incident between the alien Grays and U.S. military forces at the Dulce underground base. Philip Schneider's ex-wife, Cynthia Drayer believes that Philip was murdered because he publicly revealed the truth about the U.S. government's involvement with UFOs.

Sure, you can stay in your comfort zone and say this is all fake. But think for a moment; they, doctors at the time, did not have the warewithal or the technolo

Vatican looks to heavens for signs of alien life !

By ARIEL DAVID (AP) – Nov 10, 2009

VATICAN CITY — E.T. phone Rome. Four hundred years after it locked up Galileo for challenging the view that the Earth was the center of the universe, the Vatican has called in experts to study the possibility of extraterrestrial alien life and its implication for the Catholic Church.

"The questions of life's origins and of whether life exists elsewhere in the universe are very suitable and deserve serious consideration," said the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, an astronomer and director of the Vatican Observatory.

Funes, a Jesuit priest, presented the results Tuesday of a five-day conference that gathered astronomers, physicists, biologists and other experts to discuss the budding field of astrobiology — the study of the origin of life and its existence elsewhere in the cosmos.

Funes said the possibility of alien life raises "many philosophical and theological implications" but added that the gathering was mainly focused on the scientific perspective and how different disciplines can be used to explore the issue.

Chris Impey, an astronomy professor at the University of Arizona, said it was appropriate that the Vatican would host such a meeting.

"Both science and religion posit life as a special outcome of a vast and mostly inhospitable universe," he told a news conference Tuesday. "There is a rich middle ground for dialogue between the practitioners of astrobiology and those who seek to understand the meaning of our existence in a biological universe."

Thirty scientists, including non-Catholics, from the U.S., France, Britain, Switzerland, Italy and Chile attended the conference, called to explore among other issues "whether sentient life forms exist on other worlds."

Funes set the stage for the conference a year ago when he discussed the possibility of alien life in an interview given prominence in the Vatican's daily newspaper.

The Church of Rome's views have shifted radically through the centuries since Italian philosopher Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake as a heretic in 1600 for speculating, among other ideas, that other worlds could be inhabited.

Scientists have discovered hundreds of planets outside our solar system — including 32 new ones announced recently by the European Space Agency. Impey said the discovery of alien life may be only a few years away.

"If biology is not unique to the Earth, or life elsewhere differs bio-chemically from our version, or we ever make contact with an intelligent species in the vastness of space, the implications for our self-image will be profound," he said.

This is not the first time the Vatican has explored the issue of extraterrestrials: In 2005, its observatory brought together top researchers in the field for similar discussions.

In the interview last year, Funes told Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano that believing the universe may host aliens, even intelligent ones, does not contradict a faith in God.

"How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?" Funes said in that interview.

"Just as there is a multitude of creatures on Earth, there could be other beings, even intelligent ones, created by God. This does not contradict our faith, because we cannot put limits on God's creative freedom."

Funes maintained that if intelligent beings were discovered, they would also be considered "part of creation."

The Roman Catholic Church's relationship with science has come a long way since Galileo was tried as a heretic in 1633 and forced to recant his finding that the Earth revolves around the sun. Church teaching at the time placed Earth at the center of the universe.

Today top clergy, including Funes, openly endorse scientific ideas like the Big Bang theory as a reasonable explanation for the creation of the universe. The theory says the universe began billions of years ago in the explosion of a single, super-dense point that contained all matter.

Earlier this year, the Vatican also sponsored a conference on evolution to mark the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species."

The event snubbed proponents of alternative theories, like creationism and intelligent design, which see a higher being rather than the undirected process of natural selection behind the evolution of species.

Still, there are divisions on the issues within the Catholic Church and within other religions, with some favoring creationism or intelligent design that could make it difficult to accept the concept of alien life.

Working with scientists to explore fundamental questions that are of interest to religion is in line with the teachings of Pope Benedict XVI, who has made strengthening the relationship between faith and reason a key aspect of his papacy.

Recent popes have been working to overcome the accusation that the church was hostile to science — a reputation grounded in the Galileo affair.

In 1992, Pope John Paul II declared the ruling against the astronomer was an error resulting from "tragic mutual incomprehension."

The Vatican Museums opened an exhibit last month marking the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first celestial observations.

Tommaso Maccacaro, president of Italy's national institute of astrophysics, said at the exhibit's Oct. 13 opening that astronomy has had a major impact on the way we perceive ourselves.

"It was astronomical observations that let us understand that Earth (and man) don't have a privileged position or role in the universe," he said. "I ask myself what tools will we use in the next 400 years, and I ask what revolutions of understanding they'll bring about, like resolving the mystery of our apparent cosmic solitude."

The Vatican Observatory has also been at the forefront of efforts to bridge the gap between religion and science. Its scientist-clerics have generated top-notch research and its meteorite collection is considered one of the world's best.

The observatory, founded by Pope Leo XIII in 1891, is based in Castel Gandolfo, a lakeside town in the hills outside Rome where the pope has his summer residence. It also conducts research at an observatory at the University of Arizona, in Tucson.

I'm still a skeptic. About two weeks ago, I was in Arizona, it was arond 11 PM, I was sitting outside with some relatives, the one sitting next to me saw the same white flash from behind the mountain, almost like an explosion. We both commented and every one thought we were on drugs. They thought we weren't sharing. But we wondered and never found out.

"If one percent of all the stars had planets, and one percent of those planets had life, there would be billions of voices waiting to be heard." It is pure vanity to believe that we are alone. Have they been here? Once again, it's foolish to be believe otherwise, although much of the evidence that I have seen to date does not compel me to believe that "they" could be so easily seen by us. Not to mention if they chose to infiltrate for study, or other reasons, we would have little power to stop them. Any specie capable of overcoming the vastness of space within in a lifespan as we measure it would most certainly be Far beyond our technology.

Especially so when one considers that our closest neighbor is several light years away. That's 180,000 miles per second times the number years which equates to far far away.

The "Best UFO Caught On Tape" one was from a promo on Sci-Fi. I don't know how many times that video has been debunked, but I remember seeing it myself. People keep trying to pass it off on YouTube as real though...::sigh::
