I have been interested in UFOs and Aliens since I could read.
Well before that actually, I looked at the pictures.
The idea that something out there would come here was just amazing to me.

Of course back then, there were no Alien pictures, just pictures of UFOs.
I never gave the idea of actual Alien contact much thought till I read about the Betty and Barney Hill incident.
Then the idea of not just ships, but actual Aliens showing up kinda freaked me out.
I mean seeing something in the sky is one thing, but the ship landing and someone (or something) actually getting out....well that was quite another.

But more and more I began to read about Aliens landing, and actually getting out of their ships.
I was born in 1961, the year the Betty and Barney Hill abduction happened, so by the time I was able to read about it, it was fairly well researched.

After that it was all pretty much a haze of reading about various sightings, Lonnie Zamora (may he rest in peace) and the incident in Socorro, New Mexico, the Exeter incident and so forth.

But fast forwarding into the 90s, modern technology brought advances that made the old UFO pictures look like cave drawings.

Now not only did we have Alien contact, but Alien implants, better UFO footage and alleged actual Alien pictures!

Yes now we didn't only have blurry out of focus pictures of lights in the sky, but blurry out of focus pictures of Aliens.
And yes, footage of Aliens.

Probably the most famous was the 1995 Fox television network broadcast of Alien Autopsy – Fact or Fiction.
This gruesome black and white footage was promoted by London-based video entrepreneur Ray Santilli as real, but later evidence showed that it was a hoax.
But even today, Ray insists that the film isn't "fake", it's a "restoration".
He claims that a few of the frames embedded in his video are from the original, but he can't actually tell which ones.

Fake or not, the special based on the footage, hosted by Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker from "Star Trek: The Next Generation"), gave Fox HUGE ratings.

And of course we have this footage that is argued about to this day.
I have to admit, fake or not, something about the alien in this video really does creep me out.

The alien pictures for some reason are not as spectacular as the footage.
Most are the same fuzzy and blurry pics we have of UFOs.
I always wondered about that because I can take a picture of you with a camera and it turns out fine, but if you're an alien, suddenly the focus goes out, I can only take one picture etc.....

One of the most famous pics is the "Ilkley Moor Alien" taken in 1987 by Philip Spencer.

And here we have the The Parque Forestal Alien Photograph From Chile.
This little guy is just walking around in broad daylight with no one noticing him.
Not even the mounted officers he's walking between.

The next one is just so weird I had to include it
"As an amateur photographer on a day-trip with my family, I took the photograph on Burgh Marsh on May 23, 1964. I took three pictures of my daughter Elizabeth in a similar pose - and was shocked when the middle picture came back from Kodak displaying what looks like a spaceman in the background."

Unfortunately, most of the UFO footage I have seen..well it just doesn't scream UFO to me.
Well maybe I guess it does actually.
Its Unidentified, its Flying and it is an Object.
But it doesn't scream extraterrestrial craft...how about that?

The only one though that ever got to me was one proven to be a hoax.
Thank goodness it was a hoax!
My first thought when I saw it was "If this is real, we are truly and deeply screwed."

So with the huge advances in technology, soon the day may come when even the experts won't be able to tell what are real Alien pictures and UFO footage and what's fake.
I guess the poor Aliens will be left with no choice but to land on the White House lawn.
And even then, it might be Project Blue Beam.....
