Underwater Alien Bases

For ufologists everywhere UFO Hunters is a dream come true as the team of professional- UFO Magazine Publisher Bill Birnes, Army Engineer Pat Uskert, and Mechanical Engineer Kevin Cook investigate the U.F.O phenomena and often debunk the debunkers (for the most part) who’ve been doing all the debunking over the years. After watching this show, however, people who wear tin foil hats and claim to see UFOs don’t seems so “extra special” after all. In fact, as the crew rallies the help of top scientists and government officials to scientifically test claims in Myth-Buster fashion, their stories seem more plausible than impossible. Some debunkers, though, continue on their journey of denial and insist thin discs moving in organized patterns contrary to weather balloons, known aeronautical, or atmospheric patterns are just that- atmospheric phenomena, weather balloons, and planes or the byproducts thereof which is a role Kevin Cook plays well (as compared to Bill Birnes who comes up with some pretty eccentric theories, but then he has access to information that we don't have so who knows). Government officials have an interesting stance ...either they believe in and are willingly to testify to UFO and extraterrestrial existence, deny UFO and extra-terrestrial existence all together, or cover up UFO and extra-terrestrial existence by admitting to a part of the phenomena but denying the rest of it which reeks of something is going on. For example , some ` government officials now claim that our military is creating and piloting UFOs but denying the existence of extra-terrestrial life which means they’re using anti-gravity (yes, someone trumped Einstein’s theory of relativity) created by humans. Another thing that makes this show fascinating are theories I’ve never heard of such as the theory of USOs or “Unidentifying Submerged Objects” that swim in our oceans like submarines then ” fly” out of the ocean into extra-terrestrial space, the theory of alien abduction and contacts which are so eerily similar to one another, and government experience with the extra-terrestrial life. True or not I like investigating paranormal ideas to see which ideas can actually be proven. It makes very engaging, thought provoking, fun entertainment.

Save UFO Hunters

Last week Pat Uskert stated on his facebook that UFO Hunters is going to be cancelled. Bill Birnes later clarified that History Channel hasn't made the decision whether or not to pull the plug on the show (as he relates in the Coast to Coast AM clip). This is the only UFO show on 300 channels and for some it ends the trifeca of Ghosthunters, MonsterQuest, and UFO Hunters on Wednesdays (not to mention hindering the UFO disclosure process). Please help us convince History Channel to keep the show and sign the petition here http://www.petitiononline.com/uf0hunt/petition.html . In just two days there was a total of over 1,300 signatures...let's give them a whole lot more.

UFO Hunters is BACK!

Well, no it's not. Beware of this site http://www.newstvguide.tk/ which is a hoax. Continue to sign the petition please regardless of the weird troll who's trying to prevent people from signing it.

I would love the idea of our species making contact with another that (hopefully) is both more intelligent than we are and also more peace-loving.  I fear that an alien species would be more aggressive and warlike that are we because we would lose in a heartbeat.

My only other comment is that if they are out there, why not make contact?

Thanks for the comment Ivan. Personally, I believe aliens are here and they come in the extreme of both-extremely more benevolent than ours and extremely more aggressive than ours. From what I've heard, and this is just a rumor, the world governments have been in contact with alien species since the fifties. They keep this hush hush because that result would be free energy for us and loss of profits for the oil companies, according to the rumor.

Yes, there always seems to be greed behind everything governments do!  Thanks for the reply. Here is Spain we call them Ovnis and people are quite ga-ga over the whole thing. I have never seen one but have friends who swear they have. Again, being a skeptic, no proof, no belief on my part, but I keep an open mind.

The jury, of course, is still out on the question of visitation and contact by extraterrestrials.

I for one am reasonably sure that they do in fact exist and have been visiting here for a long time.

Re-read Erich von Däniken's book. It's not as crazy as some want to make it seem.

Why don't they make direct contact? According to some, they have.

I'm not in a position to say one way or the other.

The first episodes seemed a little too 'tin foil hat' for my own taste, but recently there was an all day UFO Hunters marathon running and I realized they really do kind of grow on you. I'm a rabid Ghost Hunters fan. I'll watch those plumbers do anything, no matter how boring, it just makes me happy, don't ask me why.

I think something is going on with UFOs and the crazies get all the press so we may never know what it is. My guess is it's a bunch of things masquerading as one thing, and that some of them are fascinating, others less so. Thanks for the hub!

Bigfoot Hunters anyone?

Ivan, yes, there is and that's because human beings are inately greedy. You have no idea how much. It seems once you've seen a ufo you just can't get enough of ufology. It's good to be a sceptic and that you have an open mind.

CWB-Thanks for the tip, I'll be reading that book. You know, the jury is out for U.S but not out for France, Brazil, Germany, I believe Spain, England. I hope we follow suit someday.

Thanks Pgrundy, plumbers can be gorgeous. No offense to any of the men here, you're all gorgeous in your own ways there's just something about a man with a wrench. UFO Hunters is marvelous. You mean i missed a marathon! I know I didn't watch an episode or two and they only seem to show the UFO Hunters on one day. I need my fix man, History channel better wise up. Ghost Hunters is also awesome, I'm basically at the edge of my seat whenever I watch that show. Lovely!

History Channel is threatening to cancel the Ufo Hunters based on certain controversial episodes (or at least that's my suspicion). If you're a UFO Hunters fan or are simply interested in keeping the show on air please sign this petition http://boards.history.com/topic/Ufo-Hunters/Keepin . Thank you.

UFO Hunters was the best TV had to Offer! The Trashy and Dumb Shows that are on TV get all the Air Time. The reason Is He who has the Money has the Power.Money People have Bad Taste or No Taste. You know the News does not report UFO's the reason Is FCC! When to many people ban together It gets Stoped. Remember the 60's? If you remember John Franks show " Real UFO's?[STOPED] Or In Search of?{STOPED} I have noticed UFO Hunters show cut a lot of Money Out of It:Like there trying to make It Bad. as My Dad would say "Im a Mushroom fed BS and kept In the Dark" When It comes to UFO's and that was 30 years Ago + you know History Channel changes History to fit In that FCC box..KeeP Uf0 Hunters on the Air! Bring Dr.Ted Back. Or did the FCC get him? Or did the FCC get to A&E's History Channel?

That's so true Bob, but we shouldn't give up hope that easily because it wasn't written in stone yet. History Channel is still considering whether to give them a fourth episode or not. You should take the petition and spread it around. It is the most interesting series, isn't it? That Heroes, and Lost...however it looks like Heroes' contract isn't being renewed. Maybe both hit to close to the truth for the government. Now I'm stuck with...well, there are no good shows, like you say. Lost is somewhat entertaining but Junior is obviously more interested in entertaining himself than earning a dollar (you know, junior the ceo or fcc chair that decides which shows gets the green light).

When I was younger I used to watch the UFO documentaries with interest, but did not think much about it. Then a few years ago I saw some weird light formations in the sky, which cannot be explained away. I know what I saw and whereas I might not know what it was, it did not look like airplanes to me.

Thanks for the comment SweetiePie, sorry for the late response. I know what you mean...for the longest time I thought UFOs didn't exist then one day I saw one....a bright orb like you here in sunny California. Coincedence? Or is there a reason people keep seeing these bright orbs in California?

So, I still haven't heard. WHY is the show being cancelled? Did the greedy government and politicians, threaten the History channel because someone got a little too close to disclosing the truth that the government has been wanting to hide from us? It's insulting to think that the government truly believes we are so ignorant to not have noticed what has been going on. So, why then keep this information from your people? I think Rider has a good point on Greed. It's all about economic and political gain, and so now we want to reverse engineer what we have found, in hopes of using it for our own personal greed. Kinda funny, how it fits right into an anti-christ like government before the end of the world. One world government anyone?

Writer Rider profile image

Writer Rider  says:

The show is purportedly being cancelled because of ratings issues...though I doubt that was the problem. How can such an interesting show with an original take have low ratings? That doesn't add up. I'm guessing the shadow government's fingers are all over it and hopes noone pays attention. However, the cancellation of the show shortly after the Dulce episode definitely casts suspicion on them. I don't believe Obama is the anti-christ. In fact, if there is such an evil group of beings interested creating a one world government, the election of Barack Obama prevented it in my opinion.

UFO Hunters to air tommorow. Watch it or you'll be missing out on one very intriguing show. There's nothing like it on television. Whether you believe in ufos or not there's enough for everyone...believers, skeptics, and people in the middle.

Joe  says:

Ok, I have to leave a word on this. This show is a travesty, pseudo-scietifical misinformation. I had the displeasure of watching a wretched episode where the "investigators" tried to make a paper baloon pass as an UFO, supporting the old fallacious "the military covered it up" agenda with preposterous evidence and heavy-handed editing. They use every trick in the book to bias the conclusions to their interests, trying to prove ludicrous theories while scaring people with less empirical knowledge. I'm deeply disappointed with History Channel, smashing any credibility they might have with sensationalism and pseudoscience. And you know what? The truth is way more interesting... UFO's are a cultural phenomenon. People seeing things where they want to see, scrambling memories and pop culture feedback to create a wild history in their minds. Nothing to blame, it's absolutely natural and well-documented: In the antiquity unexplainable dreams or sights were "gods", in the middle-ages they were "demons", and now we call them "aliens". Just think a little: If you were an alien race, would you travel for at least 40 years in the speed of light just to fly around our atmosphere, to be filmed by shaky cameras yielding material for greedy smartasses to make a quick buck? Or maybe to morph into humans just to spook old ladies? Or maybe enter people's bedrooms in the middle of the night to make sexual experiences? No, but people say that these stuff happens. In fact, these phenomena have other, more pragmatic names: Visual illusions. Paranoia. Nightmares. The absolute lack of evidence is not the government's deed (they can barely manage their shameful military interventions), but it's what it is: Lack of evidence. Unicorns. Fairy tales. Santa Claus. Bullshit.

You're entitled to your opinion Joe, but you're inaccurate. Even famous astronauts, pilots, presidents, and politicians have claimed to have seen ufos and met people who are involved with human-alien projects like the back engineering projects at Roswell. Yes, being foreign to us, most are bound to consider spaceships and aliens ludicrous fantasies the way skeptics who thought the world was flat thought it was a ludicrous idea that the world could possibly be spherical or the way American Indians probably laughed when they first heard rumors about red haired, blue eyed Europeans on their shores. And, being more advanced than us, what makes you think it would take them 40 years to visit us? Why wouldn't an advance civilization have technology that can bring them here within a day? Out of our grasp? Yes. Out of theirs? Probably not. Most likely not. I'll finish commenting later.

WriterRider, I agree with you - it's true that most UFO sighting claims are real. But the point here is that an UFO (Unindentified Flying Object) isn't neccessarily at all to be an alien ship. As a matter of fact, I have seen UFOs many times myself - But after some quick consideration I could easily realize that they were airplanes, visible satellites, balloons, even lights reflexing in my window. If I believed and I wanted to see a shiny alien ship, I would – as I would see fairies or unicorns, if I believed in those. I didn’tn because after many years studying Astronomy, Astrobiology and Sociology, I realized that alien ships don’t make sense, really. I also agree with you that the possible technology reached by a civilization thousands of years ahead of us will probably be unimaginable. With such a technology, they could survey us from a distance, and never coming down here. Why not? Let’s even suppose that they had the technology to make a 100 light-years trip in a couple of hours. But even for them, such a distortion in the fabric of the space-time would require a considerable amount of resources. So why make such an expensive travel just to hover a few miles above our atmosphere and go away? Even if they did, I think that their technology would be way ahead of the campy metal discs that usual UFO sightings portray. And why the hell they just can’t turn off the lights at night, to avoid being spotted? There are too many holes in the whole UFO hoax that I could write forever, but the bottom line is that maybe – just maybe - all of this is just a mix of pop culture, mass hysteria and pseudoscience. We have many historical examples of that: The demon sightings in the middle-ages; the anti-semitism in the Nazi Germany; The anti-communist fever over the cold war; All of those are based on the same social principle: People ‘A’ who don’t understand certain phenomena (nothing to blame), and a few people ‘B’ interested in providing people ‘A’ with appealing but fundamentally alienating answers for their own profit. The History Channel is obviously being invaded by the ‘B’ guys.

Joe  says:

Now here's what makes me angry: People can believe in anything they like, but misinformation so wrongly presented on the mass media under a misplaced scientifical credibility label is very unethical. To finish my point, I’ll tell you a short personal story. When I was 8 years old I watched a sensationalist TV show regarding alien ships and abductions. The same kind of ‘documentary’ you would see on a speculative series like this one, no big deal on a first sight. But something really got me there: It was a very credible and respected journalistic show here in my country. That scared me so deeply that I became depressed, and I had problems with sleeping and anxiety for almost 10 years. Remember, I was an 8 y/o kid. Last year a 16 y/o girl from India drank insecticide because of the LHC hysteria fabricated by the media. In the late 90’s, a wave of suicides across the globe happened because of that Nostradamus hoax. And now that Roland Emmerich and (guess who?) Hysteria Channel are being the protagonists of the new 2012 hoax - And you can imagine the effect that it will have in our children for the next few years. If you think a little, you’ll see that all of that spooky new age and the sci-fi mumbo-jumbo are very similar to each other. There’s nothing wrong about conspiracy theories, but journalism is about showing different perspectives – and that’s absolutely not what happens on UFO Hunters. But anyway, it’s your time and you can use it any way you like. I wrote that much because you seem like an intelligent fellow, and it's always a pleasure to discuss interesting subjects with cool minded people. Best regards, and take care!

Well, I personally think it's time for us a species to grow up and come to terms with the reality of our planetary system and all that it encompasses, including visits from extra-terrestrial lifeforms . As an astronomer, you know that our solar system and our galaxy contains many planets. Why on Earth would there be so many planets without biological lifeforms on them? Doesn't make any sense at all. And why on earth wouldn't there be biological lifeforms that are more intelligent than us? Doesn't make sense. It's not called fairies it's called life. We are being visited and that's been disclosed by astronauts and military officials who say we are collaborating with them and have collaborated with them in the past. Their testimony truimphs all, in my opinion, and should be considered seriously based on their station.

Writer Rider profile image

Writer Rider  says:

And with all due respect, if alien ships don't make sense, neither do cars, trains, airplanes, or anything else locomotive. As you said you're an astronomer so you know about the theory of wormholes...or the short cut from one part of the universe to another in which time is cut considerably and the sped of light doesn't have to be broken.

The UFO Hunters is a documentary trying to show the truth. It has been said that the UFO Hunters are not showing enough of the truth. What you are stating, Joe, is pure conjecture without any proof to back it up. i.e just an opinion. The UFO Hunters have supplied ample proof throughout their show to back up their claims but only someone who is close-minded or afraid of the truth won't consider it. No amount of sarcastic rhetoric will change that....hypothesis+evidence=truth not lack of proof+sarcasm. It's simple, it's mathematical, it's scientific...

Joe  says:

Hi there. Like I said, life probably DOES exist outside Earth, actually the possibility is so huge that it's overwhelming. That notion is absolutely correct, and I never said the opposite. The problem is that the current notion and reports of alien sightings and abductions are much more related to cultural and psychological events than interestellar ones. The japanese buddy on the video you posted down there (Michio Kaku) would agree with me - by the way, he wrote extensively on the subject of extraterrestrial life, and that's some cool reading if you want a reality-based view on that. There are truckloads of evidence, as a matter of fact, of fallacious, misinterpreted reports, and a wide body of people interested in profiting with the scare and confusion that UFO sightings causes on people. Nevertheless, I just came across a video where Neil Tyson explains this phenomenon in more detail than I could be able to do in this small box. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfAzaDyae-k

If you allow me make another suggestion, an excellent reading on the alien phenomenon - and many other very interesting subjects - is Carl Sagan's 'The Demon-Haunted World'.

Best regards!

Writer Rider profile image

Writer Rider  says:

Yes, I'm aware that Michio Kaku doesn't believe we're being visited but his theory shows that there are ways where we can be. Of course there are fallacious, misinterpreted reports, goes with the territory, but that doesn't mean that there aren't credible ones as well. It's a mistake, in my opinion, to throw away all accounts based on the tainted ones. And many brilliant scientists will undoubtly follow the skeptical trend, even if they're wrong. Just because it might take an exploding star to harness the power to create a wormhole, doesn't mean that other more intelligent life forms haven't found a way. And it doesn't mean that they haven't found other ways as well. There is plenty of proof that aliens are visiting us, besides sightings, including material found at crashes that can't be found on this planet, chips in abductees that have been surgically removed and tested by the doctors who removed them (they did so on a UFO Hunters episode), military officials, astronauts, and other public officials who have come forth with testimony that we are in cahuts with them (I believe them more than Kaku and other scientists who are not directly involved), well I'm sure the list goes on.
