USB Driver 20
The USB was developed in November of 1995. This device allowed people to use one type of plug and socket for all of their plug in needs. As gadgets became more advanced the need for these USBs became greatly increased. Now they are used to connect your mouse, keyboard, game paddles, scanners, printers, digital cameras, ect. So as more things required the use of USB, the need for an update came with it. Now the newest version is that of the USB 20 which came out in 2001. This update was created in effort to make the devices that you are using, go faster. This difference is immense! This new version is more than 40 times faster than that of the previous version. They then become more usable and efficient. All of the new devices come setup to be used with this new version. Although your devices will not cease working if you don't have the new version, they will not have the speed of a version 20. So if you are someone who has all the time in the world to spend, you probably won't mind not having the newest version. But on the other hand, if you are like most out there and are limited on your time, you really may want to consider updating your USB.
How Do You Know if You Have USB 20?
To find this out you need to open your device manager. To get to this manager go to you start menu, click control panel, find the system icon an dope it. Once you've done that look for the tab that says hardware and click on it. There should be a button that says Device Manager and that is what needs to be clicked on for it to be opened. Once open you will need to look for the Universal Serial Bus section and expand it. Now to determine if you have Version 20 look to see if you you have an enhanced controller. If you don't see it, you don't have it. So therefor you will need to obtain it.
How can I Obtain it?
One very easy way of doing this would be by visiting the link below. With this link you will be able to update the driver to a version 20. In addition to that you will not have to worry about lacking any other drivers you may find yourself needing or not being fully updated with your drivers. The only other option that you have is to do a Google search for your drivers, which is very time consuming and may not always provide you with fruitful results. In the end it could end up hurting your computer if the proper driver isn't installed. If this is a risk you are willing to take, be my guest, but I think that the most beneficial thing would to be trying out the program below, it will really save you a whirlwind of time and trouble. Hope your USB will be up to date soon!
